Looks like the Stats reporting server is on the blink yet again - Don't worry about losing points as there's an entirely separate server that handles the stats collection and storage.

Prof. Pande has stated on FF.org that they are looking into what happened. I'll keep an eye on things, but it may be a delay as today's the wife's birthday. WINGS FEAST!!!

Enjoy the wife. Good news is, I just landed and my ride is on the way here. I will be home in about 2 hours and will run an report on errors that show up.

I have messaged all of the winners that have no yet contacted me.  Out of 16 total winners for the EVGA Prizes, I have had 6 message me so far.  Hopefully the others get the email fairly quick and can get back to me. I will continue to push to get these prizes consolidated and sent to EVGA so that all winners can receive their prizes.

Man, for once I'm actually RELIEVED to see a post about the stats reporting server being on the blink.

I thought I was getting way too many errors or something when I woke up and saw 0.

So, we don't know if we're still on good track for the 3 Billion as long as this is down, right?

NOTHING TO DO BUT GO ALL OUT!

Not necessarily, they can create a different passkey with a different email address.

Checking my PPD according to my system, I am still producing between 1.2m and 1.5m consistently.. So, I am not sure about the rest of the points and haven't been able to verify points 100%.

On Stanford's stats site you can check how many points your user name has, and how many points your passkey has.  If they don't match, then some points are being contributed in your folding name with no passkey or a different passkey.

You were right.  5 million points and 110 work units difference.

EOC's count is going to be off because the flat files EOC (and my system as well) uses to pull stats from aren't being published correctly. That's what's going to account for any major differences at this point.

EOC is always an hour off from the points anyway, as when they pull their numbers every 3 hours, it's at the top of the hour. When the stats system is working right, the new flat files are published at 25 minutes past the hour.

Yeah, there are quite a few things that go into why some stats don't line up.

d

And rereading the exchange between the two of you, Punchy's talking about using the Stanford stats exclusively - Do a search for your name alone, then for your Passkey - The numbers for your passkey should be lower than for your name alone, as you have to fold a few WUs to prime the passkey.  Also, if you are like me, you didn't know to fold with your passkey for a little while, so there's a few million points difference.

Now, if the points difference between the two changes MASSIVELY, like you are obviously getting more points on your name alone then you are with the Passkey, that's a sign that you have a mystery donor OR that you've got a core or two set up without the passkey.

At least that's what I THINK Punchy was going for?

For all that are curious, I am back online.  Had a heart dropping scare last night, where fluid leaked.  I caught it, shut down, fixed it, cleaned it and restarted.  I will fold until the end on the month, and then I will be breaking this down and completely replumbing everything.

Thank you.  I am stoked to be back, and I will be hawkeyeing this one piece of tubing. it is time to flush the system anyway, so I will just use February as my time to work on everything.  Just found out that I will be gone for 2 weeks in December and 3 weeks in January, so I am going to leave it offline this time.  I will be carrying a laptop with me on both trips more than likely.

Oh, and talked to the lady friend today.. Totally going to Disney in May :-D

FYI - My system just picked up an update at 5:25pm EST!!  In about an hour and a half, we'll see EOC's first update, I'm guessing.

The updates may come in increments like they usually do when it's gone on for this long, so nobody panic if you don't get ALL your points at once!
They better hurry up before my PPD goes to zero.

Kind of like when you were a kid and kinked the water hose and then let it go.

since not on topic to anything figured most approp to just post randomness here, but my cheapassery not wanting to waste money on heat and keeping house in low 60s, keeps my GPU running nice and cool at 23C idle. Too bad my cheap assery catches up in summer when i dont want to run my a/c a bunch.

I was thinking more like when a frat takes a 75 gallon tub to the roof, fills it with water, brings it to the edge, then lets it go. Same effect, just OOOOOH so much more so
