Hello

Just finished a new build here with the above board and a I7 6700k LGA 1151, when I turn on the new system it doesn't display the bios just a white screen and when you look at the error code on the board it says 32.  Unfortunately I'm not experienced enough to know what that means.  Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks.

Lee.

As you boot up, does the readout on the board seem to change numbers? Does it at any point say 62 or A2?

You can try clearing the CMOS; there's a small red button on the IO panel on the back of the board where the USB ports are. With the system powered off, press that a few times then power back up.

If you have a graphics card installed, make sure it's plugged in all the way both on the card itself, and on the monitor. Also, you can try re-seating the video card.

James at no point does it say those numbers.  It goes 4C 32 35 40 32.  Then stays there until it restarts itself after about 60 secs.  I have now tried it without the graphics card also and does same thing.  The CMOS button makes doesn't change anything either.

The next step would be to check the CPU socket for any bent pins -- post code 32 usually means there's an issue with the RAM or perhaps with the memory controller on the CPU. Bent pins could explain this issue, so it's best to check to make sure this isn't the issue.

Thank you JamesRit was a bent pin. Took me ages to find it, got it straight and seems to be working now.  Thanks for taking the time to help me.

    Cheers.

Can you please advise as to the best course of action as I've never had bent pins to deal with before. Like I already stated I've got the board to boot, I am however a bit concerned that after straightening the pin myself that it could cause issues later. The pin must have been bent out of the box as there seems no way to me I could have bent just 1 pin (picture attached) should I consider RMA the board. The bent pin is at the very bottom just right of centre, third in from centre.  (Picture taken before i straightened it, hopefully that isnt a issue).

    Thanks again.

That is up to you Lee.WHU.
EVGA Support is second to none. And they are top dog in the high end PC components.(My Opinion) I bought a Z77 FTW in 2012. Mine was working fine but in one of my CPU change outs, (I did lots of overclocking and tried different CPUs for stability testing) I got some thermal paste in the socket area. Stupid me, I took a corner of a paper towel and tried to wipe the paste off the pins. When I pulled it away, the paper towel hooked a pin and bent it. I tried to straighten the pin myself and ended up moving a couple more around. I used an eye loupe and fine tweezers but no success. I contacted EVGA because I had registered my board and paid for the extra warranty 10 years total. The tech told me to RMA the board and since it was my fault, they would do their best to fix the pins for FREE. But if unable, they would replace the socket and charge me $60 dollars. I was amazed! Fully willing to pay for it, I sent my board in to EVGA. They did a very thorough inspection and found a small (very small) cracked corner of a SATA connector unrelated to my issue. They instantly deemed it  a warranty issue and sent me a NEW board!!!! It was not a repair because it had a different serial number. I was very impressed with EVGA technical support and I have passed on my experiences to several others who are now proud owners of EVGA product computers. I also just upgraded to the EVGA Z170 Classified 1151 socket and I'm running the i7 6700K CPU. I recommend you get your RMA and get your CPU socket dealt with properly by EVGA techs. Since you just got it, possibly already bent, it's likely you would get a new motherboard.

    Thanks, Bret
    Happy EVGA Customer!

Just to update, with the pin straightened and now fully built, i've ran various stress tests and its passed every time.  Its been on for a couple of days at a time and not missed a beat.  I think i'm going to leave well alone for now and hope i have no future issues.  Thanks for all the help guys.  Cheers.
