What's the compression ratio on your car Rush?

@Hallowen
I know your MO, add forced air to everything, once you have that, there's always room for nitrous oxide!

BF3PRO
Does it have a good exhaust note?

Good question.  Loud isn't worth anything if it sounds bad.  I know someone who has a first gen mustang, and it is loud, really loud, not good, just loud.  I compare his exhaust tone to Dan Aykroyd in "Trading Places" where he was roaring drunk in the santa suit and all he said to Eddie Murphy was "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa".  Kinda sounds like his exhaust.

Looking forward to a vid getting posted so I can give it a listen.

11.0:1

The exhaust note on my previous set up (Just axlebacks and resonator delete x-pipe) was okay, loud but not too aggressive. I liked it, but many people said it was too loud.

My new exhaust note is way louder and sounds deeply aggressive. The cats made it sound raspy, But going cat less long tubes got rid of that nasty sound, straight up smooth exhaust. Can't wait to make the video of it.

With 11.0:1 CR, He CANNOT use any type of Forced Induction, Which is why I suggested NOS.

Thanks Hazman, She's set up for a 300 Shot, But me and the guys at the shop haven't decided to USE it yet, Due to the Fact that just trying to Handle the 1014 RWHP She already has coming off the Line is enough for Now! LOL

Damn...haven't seen that beast in a while.

There are quite a few forced induction Coyote engines running 700+ horsepower. Longevity? lol, not sure....but they are getting a few passes at least haha.

Yeah, Forced indurction is okay on the coyote, But wrong compression for it to be running high boost.

I do want to add 100 shot of Nitrous just for fun while I save up for a kenne bell. My end goal (For now) is 800RWHP on stock internals. (Yes, The 2015 version of the Coyote can handle that) and when I go forged internals and build the tranny, I would love to hit 1000 RWHP.

Like I said before, This will be my last car as I am tired of having a monthly payment, So this car will get a lot of work done to it in the future... But baby steps!

I'm running 8.0:1 with 33 lbs Compound Boost on a Purposely-Built 298ci Blower Motor, So If They're running 11.0:1 with Forced Induction, They won't be around too Long!

Yeah pop goes the weasel. By the way 300 shot! I was expecting you to say 180 shot or less.

The Cobra's Whole "Hellraiser" Twin Turbo/Supercharger Setup WITHOUT the Nitrous can be tuned for 1600 RWHP on Racing Fuel, But since I have just Made it to 70 Years of Age last September, I Don't think I want to "Push My Luck" any more than I have for a while longer.

When the "Hellraiser" System First came Out, They Got 1188 RWHP on a FACTORY STOCK 281ci 2003 Cobra Motor, But it ALMOST Lifted the Heads at that Test Rating at 43lbs of Compound Boost!

As Rush has stated, "Baby Steps" are a GOOD Idea!

That would be an Excellent Choice for Forced Induction at that Price and Especially the 2-Year Warranty.

The Head-Work/Cams alone on my Cobra were $5200.

Two things are so true.

Yes, I HAD to install a Highly Modified 4R75W AOD with a 3400RPM Stall Converter (Another $8000+).

The Original Cobra 6-speed was not only hard to power-shift, But I kept Burning out Clutches, Not to mention Power Shifting Threw the car sideways and made for some Unnerving moments!

BTW, In case you're wondering, That Rattle you hear at the end of the run was the gear shift linkage vibrating against the trans cowling which has been corrected.

That and it's faster down the track. I love keeping my hands on the wheel too.

Yup thats all true too. Unlike most people I will admit it, I like auto better than stick because I am too freaking lazy now. If I do ever want to row my own gears I prefer a DCT because one less thing to think about. Autos are the best too especially after a good work out after the gym because all I want to do is just sit there like in a lazy boy chair and sleep while driving lol.

Good choice, The club president of the club I'm in has a manual transmission that's always crapping out on him.

This is his mustang vs a 2014 5.0

5.0
CJ intake,TB, CAI and 4.10s on bigs and littles.
444rwhp 358rwtq

4.6
Vortech blown 2V on 10lbs 403rwhp 397rwtq

4.6 FTW lol!

For the record, I beat the other 5.0 too, in my 2015 100% Stock Coyote, Even though he's pushing all those bolt ons and 74 more RWHP than me.

I'm going to run him with my new mods pretty soon.

The T-56 can be a bastard sometimes.  I have one in my WS6 lol  Great transmissions for the time, they just require a lot of money and time to get just right.

Not sure how I feel about the sound, it has a "metallic hollow" sound to it, granted most mustangs do lol I do like the amount of volume it produces though!

That sounds real good dude. But I thought your not allowed to not take out your CATs in California because of the strict rules they have. Also they do those smog checks too.

Oh lawd, did you miss 3rd?!

Not sure how I feel about the sound, it has a "metallic hollow" sound to it, granted most mustangs do lol I do like the amount of volume it produces though!

Dammit! I thought no one would have noticed.

I have a bracket that stabilizes the shifts, It's by Barton Industries.

When shifting too quick, The shifter often gets stuck in between 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th.
Not "Often" but you know.

That sounds real good dude. But I thought your not allowed to not take out your CATs in California because of the strict rules they have. Also they do those smog checks too.

Definitely isn't allowed. Fortunately, Smog isn't required for another 5 years and hook up = $200 to pass it =P

My stock shifter had some stupid rubber grommet that was around the base of the shifter cuppling and would not allow for clean shifts, so I know it all too well lol

I switched over to an MGW and will never buy anything different.

Right now the problem that I am facing is that I get locked out at 7k rpm when rowing the gears, it's the hydraulic master cylinder that they put in these cars, it's an absolute turd, it does not push enough fluid through...  I will be throwing in the new unit shortly lol

That might be a reason too, I'm shifting the coyote at 7,000 RPM's. It might be a lock out, Similar to when you're trying to shift to 1st gear at a high RPM.

I don't know, Either way, I know it makes me look like a fool sometimes lol.

You have the polyurethane bushing on it?

That is kind of what mine had on it towards the base of the stick, I honestly cannot believe I waited as long as I did to do a shifter in my car.

Here is what this stupid thing looked like, it is the stock optioned Hurst shifter that came in the T56 for my car.  It made 3rd gear pretty sketchy.

I've removed all emissions equipment from all cars that I have owned in the last eight years and still pass inspection with flying colors for under $75!

Get Shrekt mates! :D
