OK, I am Really Sorry but after that comment I can no longer believe you have what it takes.

It's the only 'pro' about Windows 10 I could come up with?

Did anyone else notice that Abby on NCIS was using Windows 10 on her lab computer last night? If Abby likes it then it must be good, right? Now there's a 'pro' for you. I wonder how much Microsoft paid for plugging their new OS into the show.

Heyyy, where was the "Spoiler Alert" notification?  I DVR'd it...

Now that's not fair! I didn't spoil the plot but take a look at Abby's monitor when she pulls up a screen in the lab.

About Windows 10 being good? What else could it be but sarcasm! At least we know at least one other person besides rjohnson11 that likes Windows 10.

Having tried Windows 10 I couldn't help but notice the screenshot when she opened a page. OMG!

Well I am trying my best to like it and get used to it only because I am a gamer and dx12 games are around the corner. I have customized it so much that it looks just like 7. The biggest thing I have found that I don't like is if you do a reset or clean install you loose all of your custom settings and it takes forever to tweak it again. A few of the games I have that work perfectly on 7 love to crash to desktop also, like GTA 5 story mode. The only Way I can play it without crashing is to unplug router and play in offline mode.

Asus Sabertooth x99
5930k (4.5ghz)
16gb Corsair DDR4 (3000)
EVGA 1000w psu
Zotac 980ti x 2
Samsung 850 pro 500 SSD

I have tried to like it myself without success. I didn't get a chance to do much gaming with it since I was too busy worrying about all of the spying going on with it. I had mine looking almost like Windows 7 too. I always create a System Image on a daily basis in case anything goes wrong I can always restore it and not lose any of my tweaks and settings. I use all SSD so even a completely fresh Image only takes around 10-15 minutes. Every month I create a spare System Image on a 1 TB HDD just in case although even in my worst nightmare I can't picture all of my SSD failing all at once though you can never be too careful. What really bothered me was that there was no confirmation dialogue box when deleting something. You right-click, select delete and 'poof' it's gone. Never a warning about "Are you sure you want to delete this?".

You can fix that by right clicking the recycle bin on the desktop, selecting properties, check marking "display delete confirmation dialog" for each drive.

I knew there must be a setting for that but I missed it. Thanks for pointing that out for me. Maybe when Windows 10 gets straightened out with the forced driver updates I'll give it another shot and just enjoy it for what it is instead of worrying about the spying. It seems to me that the 'Insider' beta testers were actually alpha testers and the current version of Windows 10 is in a perpetual beta state for the rest of all eternity with all of the telemetry being shuttled back to MS for diagnostics.

No.. not in the  slightest   When Microsoft announced windows 10 over a year ago they made a  promise to listen and keep listening to us and  using are feedback to continually improve the  OS long after it is Released  and as such they have been doing that and living up to what they siad they was gonna do that is why ther is  more builds of windows 10 Post RTM  . No windows before  did this because of a different teams    .

if you read what  other forums or sites are showing and saying about  current windows 10 builds   they have already  made  a huge amount of improvments based on user feedback  . Sorry if you feel this is stupid but this will not stop windows 10  6 years from now will be the same  the OS is  continually being improved because of are feedback   but seems some dont like that .

The spying stuff  can be turned off always  has been able to and  this  spying stuff is old news  let it rest  end of story

Can't agree more. I think it's become common place to bash MS for their OS releases. Lots of people nagged with windows  7 after nagging about Vista.

when windows  7 was in development many assumed it was gonna be vista  2.0   but it was not  but unlike every OS befoe windows  10   MS never  took are   feedback to this dagree and level this deep  and never did they continue to do so after the OS was relased  once beta testing of what  2 betas  of windows 7 for example   was done that was it  . Windows 10  has  over 20 builds  tested by tested PRE-RTM relase and now already i think 3 or 4 Post release.

So beleaive it or not Windows 10 is the  Most  User  Driven  User Built  OS

Like  I said.  I agree with you. The only issue I have with  it is a massive memory leak. That's fixed after a quick restart though.

Google and Facebook are web services which people can either choose to use or not use. If you stop going to their website, they stop collecting information. Windows 10 is an operating system which will continue to collect information every time you turn the computer on regardless of which websites or services you use. It's an apples to oranges comparison.

I have yet to see a person that doesn't use Google :) And afaik the Win10 "Spying" can be blocked, I have it blocked for instance :)

I use Bing. I like the rewards and the lack of ads.

well i have not updated to the  insider builds   and it has been explained  is the  leak is because of a new memory managment system  in the  newest builds  they are introducing if yopu are  using one of the new builds if your an insider.  other then that  i dont see why  your having a memory leak issue on 10  i know i dont have that issue

Windows 10 has been real good to me so far. Yes they have crash me and screwed up one of my computers  and had to rebuild it but. the ,Rewards have been worth it very much so. Networking on it is a breeze. Direct X 12 is a dream if you sign up for the insider program. And having a XBox1 connected to that network with it using windows 10 now. The only reason not to get it is if you use bootlegs, run torrents use torrents downloads or cheat on multiplayer games or your a pervert with lots of nasty porn lol. You do give up some privacy which I do not like. Ads on your desktop and ads on the lock screen is suspect to privacy issues. Soon all new video games and programs will not work with out updating and new hardware will not work with out updating is here faster then you know. It is the first step into force buying I can see that. But I do enjoy it more then hate it.

It's a very responsive operating system and works very well in my opinion.

That was my argument for Windows 7 when the XP owners were ranting against it at MS Answers forum. Maybe I'll adopt that opinion for Windows 10 in the future but not just yet. Maybe if I had just appreciated it for what it was instead of focusing on the differences it might have been a more enjoyable experience for me. Of course there are a few bugs and wrinkles to be worked out yet but it is impossible for Microsoft programmers to anticipate every conceivable hardware configuration that Windows 10 would be installed on. I didn't start running into major problems until I started trying to snuff out the spying and live tiles constantly streaming info to my desktop.

One thing I did notice today was one hour after I wrote something about the NightHawk  in a network I got A best buy email with nighthawk as top of the sales. and I saw it one a website on one of the side ads too. that really stuck on me.
on lighter note using display fusion from steam lets you configure it in any way you want from 7 ,xp ,vista ,8 . all the windows. as of today I discovered they fixed the issue of older games or some of the games that didn't run on 10 now do

That's creepy. It's almost like having someone stalking you. I wonder if you could take out a protection order against Microsoft for harassment?
