I haven't folded in ages but I recently was able to spend some time with a server housing a pair of Xeon E5-2620's with 6 cores\12 threads each.  I am running linux mint and so i just dloaded the installed from  followed the happy trail and it's been folding for about half an hour now.  Its estimating around 31KPPD and that just seems way too low. Is that about right for this setup?

Unfortunately, yes.  Ever since BigAdv was ended just under a year ago, all thats left is standard SMP units that arent high point providers.  They are still important and good to fold if you are willing.
