Ah ok. When I make the move to Skylake soon I plan to run dual channel 16 Gigs as always but I want the option to run 32 Gigs if I start doing video\audio based stuff. I know that Sandy Bridge, at least the lower-mid range chipsets, had a sub-par time with 4 full sticks. I currently experience that with my Alienware.
