Hi there. I've read in the reviews on the card that on the 2nd bios, with more aggressive settings, EVGA gtx970 ssc acx 2.0+ spin its fans all the time running them even at idle at 600rpm to begin with. Then it is supposed to ramp them up once temp reach 40 degrees Celsius and gradually raise to over 2000rpm at threshold temp of 80 degrees. The first bios in turn is supposed to render the fan blades motionless up to 60 degrees. With the unit I purchased it is not the case. On both bioses my card's cooling remains passive until 65 and 70 degrees respectively and then the fans start to speed up roughly to 25-30% of max rpm as reported by EVGA Precision software. I haven't seen them go anywhere higher than that as my temp never exceeded 74degrees. I wonder if that's normal behaviour for the card or are my bioses somewhat ' messed up'? Or maybe I the information I read in the revuews is wrong? Could someone help me get rid if any doubts on that issue. Frankly speaking I'd like my card to have a more aggressive fan curve just to make sure that my card doesn't overheat. Should I create custom Precision profile if so how to do go about it? Your assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
