I have the same issue with keyboard delay. I recently installed a fresh copy of windows 10 and I thought that was the cause of all my grief. I just did an nvidia driver update uninstalling precision x. I hadn't reinstalled it and launched up the battlefront beta to find no delay. Once I launched Precision X the delay returned. I wish I would have found this forum post weeks ago since the delay caused me to miss the entire Rainbow Six Siege beta. Its a shame because I always liked the software, but it's keeping me from playing games.

Most issues seem to incur when people leave it running nonstop and never restart their computer. After a week, they start getting noticeable memory leaks and such. Just restart the pc or Precision occasionally and it should be fine.

Yea, I pretty much reboot my computer everyday.

EVGA need to continue to work hard with Precision X.
It's really stupid to people use some old software as 4.2.1 or Afterburner who work on same principle
only improved for newer models near so nice Precision X software.

I've always had some issues with Precision X but lately it just doesn't seem like a good idea to even run it.

I no longer have it boot on startup. It was interfering with some games, most notably Path of Exile, which I was unable to play for more than 2 minutes with Precision X running, and League of Legends' client would occasionally have its image freeze. Those games aren't that demanding so I don't need Precision X to play them. However, I still used the software for some other games as my SLI GTX 660ti tends to overheat without fan control.  When trying to start it, I had to double click the icon between 2 and 6 times before it actually started. Sometimes, the fan control would only work for card #1, making card #2 overheat very quickly, without me altering any of the settings. Other times, the fan control would go back to Sync mode by itself, which again made card #2 overheat as it is always running at higher temps due to its location in my PC case.

Recently, about 95% of my PC or game crashes are caused by Precision X.

precision for me has been an utterly chaotic MESS.

tried everything in the book except for completely reinstalling windows or rolling back to 8 or 7,crashes any demanding games and caps one of them to less then 30 fps, upon crashing 2-3 times repeatedly. ultimately I have to remove EVERYTHING including the drivers, wipe the registry clean with ccleaner, and repeat.

man I love, LOVE evga's products, but their software has always blown hardcore, even from 3 years back I've had nothing but problems out of precision.
they need to start listening to their customers more, supports up to snuff but their not the ones who can easily escalate something like this, or know how to or...even allowed to?

end of rant.

Can you confirm you are using 5.3.10?

Precision has gone full on garb.

Precision no longer works with Windows 10 Home and Professional.  Make sure you downgrade your Precision to 4.2.1

I had this EXACT same issue with Rainbow Six Siege and Tombraider with keyboard ghosting and random keys being held down and weird stuff going on with the keyboard.

I downgraded to 4.2.1 and no more problems.

EVGA needs to fix their program.  Like why take something great and make it garbage.  Just stick to making the cards and stop with the software at 4.2.1

The funny part is the majority of this source code was stolen from Riva tuner then Re skinned.

Dont let them fool you, they've only just begun working on re writing it in house a year or so ago.

Version 4.2.1 is the answer.
If you don't need OSD then go back.
Used to be obsessed with OSD, not anymore.
Can check temps, memory, etc. when logging of games.
Battlefield 4 not bad, but Metro Last light, Mirror's Edge Catalyst really crank my EVGA 1060 6GB card.
BTW thanks EVGA for this card, best I have ever had!

...As I posted over on the BF4 forums, I had sever Keyboard Input lag, sticky keys and missed key presses. I...

I too was recently just annoyed with this. did you try setting precision x to startup at boot and run in the background? i found that if i let PX run in the background like this, it was less of an issue. however if i brought up the UI it was like my keyboard was delayed by a good second or two. mouse and joystick unaffected, only keyboard.

No, I never set it auto-start on windows startup (nor do i do anything).

Yep, delayed by a second or two, and missing intermediate key presses.  Mouse unaffected as well, just like you mentioned.

As I mentioned in the OP, I went back to Afterburner and all has been well for me - for the past 6 weeks.  Just no 64bit OSD, which I'm used to.

That's not true. Afterburners OSD in 64 bit games works, although I will add that sometimes it may not appear and you have to quick go to desktop and then step back in and it will show up. Years ago that was a problem but not anymore. Heres a pict of last light redux running on my rig right now:
