    Do you think that the Surface is the better way to go then the iPad?
    I also now own an iPhone. Myself I am new to mobile devices in general.

    The Surface is a Windows 10 professional device, it can do all your desktop work and can be used in a productive matter.

    Yep. The iPad Pro would be a force to reckon with if it ran full OSX, but it is severly limited by only running iOS. I have an iPhone 6 and am very happy with it, but I wouldn't get an iPad or iPad Pro because they aren't full desktop level OS's. I would (and am strongly considering) the Surface Book however, and before I was aware of it was looking hard at a Surface Pro 4.

    iOS and Windows OS users are not in competition. They're different market segments. iOS is only in competition with Android and Mac OS devices.

    Im most likely to be getting a ipad pro coming from a ipad air, ive been looking hard at the surface pro 4 i5 but I think now im going to avoid it.

    Considering my tablet is strictly for play, internet shopping and clash of clans, email, youtube etc, I dont think working with windows would be pleasurable, am I wrong?

    I have never messed with a windows tablet but I figure there will be fan noise and heat, but the biggest factor is that I bought a $1300 laptop many years ago and barely ever used it before the ipad was released..

    Im just worried if the size will be comfortable and manageable in my lap, lying down etc.

    the surface is passivly cooled they all are. Also yes this is targeting the Surface apple wants a peice of the premium enterprise tablet market, the market the surface invented, and apple wants in. What they lack though is, group policy, active directory, feature rich office suite they instead get the limited office mobile. If apple wants to do something with themselves they'd have made a table running OSX
