Let us know how it works when you get a chance. I need to know about SLI mainly. When I have it enabled with most gamesgames, it just closes the game eventually. Hopefully this one is better.

When you say "it just closes the game eventually". Do you mean it crashes the games with the older drivers. Because I was getting that issue too. Like "bf4 has stopped working" etc etc

no idea why they include a not up to date GeForce Experience version with this package.
included you can find the 2.5.14.5 but the most recent one is 2.5.15.46.
that's strange.

Testing with BF4 so far no problems (since the Star Wars Beta is FrostBite engine).
I will edit this post if I do run into something major. So far only 1 bug has come up where I have to enable Gsync for full screen and windowed mode in the Nvidia control panel even though I play my games in full screen always. If I do not have windowed mode Gsync enabled in bf4 I get a 30-44 fps in game for some reason and low gpu utilization. When I look at the sky I get 44 fps and when I look on ground I get 37 fps. I turned Gsync completely off and It worked fine also, so if you have a Gsync monitor and have this issue also, just turn on windowed mode and full screen mode and then re enter back in the game.

Edit ALL GAMES are affected and are getting really bad performance. Only fix I found so far is alt tabbing till it works its way back to 60 fps. Turns out it was Gsync.... giving issues

Yes, exactly what it is doing. Mad max and all. That was with the absolute most up to date, prior to this one.

I had the same issues, hopefully this one does not crash. Nvidia drivers lately have been really scary, no thanks to the launch of Windows 10. We just got to play the waiting game and testing

DDU? I'd only use something that silly if I was switching from AMD to nVidia or vice versa. There's no need to use any kind of driver sweeping utility if you perform a 'clean install'. I had to run my WEI assessment a second time and everything was back to normal but I was scared! I was getting a solid 190-200 FPS in Battlefield 4 with an occasional dip down to 187 FPS with everything maxed out. Is that good?

I can confirm I am having bad frame rate issues with many games because of GSYNC I turned Gsync off and my issues went away.

I had already rolled back from 355.98 because it was adding instability to clocks that were previously really solid with 355.82.  If this one is the same way, looks like I'll be skipping this update as well.  lol

I don't use Heaven because there is too much of a stutter when using SLI. I just ran Firestrike and 3DMark11 at stock volts with 1500 MHz Core Clock and 8000 MHz memory Clock. I'm using the factory BIOS now and I think this is the best comparison I have without using my modded BIOS.

Can confirm this sadly! Just tested Firestrike (I'm not even running SLI) and as soon as G-Sync is enabled (both fullscreen and windowed produce the same result) it cuts fps approximately in half. Only countermeasure is to disable G-Sync entirely for me in Firestrike. Can someone check on their system? Or is there a way to enable Gsync and to work around this issue? Want to play Battlefront Beta in all it's glory with smooth frames with Gsync enabled ofc. Since we all have spent **** loads of money on both GPUs and Gsync screens I kind of expect NVIDIA isn't breaking features in their drivers that previously worked.

Let's wait for star wars to to come out on Beta and see if any drivers under 358.50 have the ability to play star wars at good frame rates when it goes open tomorrow

yeah I bet it will work just fine on previous drivers... some cherry picked streamers on twitch already played the beta yesterday and I assume they were using previous drivers anyways. And if I recall correctly when GTAV was launched the Game Ready drivers even introduced some slight performance drop compared to the previous once back then.

So sad you can't trust on some company's words anymore, you just have to test everything by yourself.

I wasn't going for a high score here, but just testing the same clocks with vs without Gsync.  All CPU & GPU clock speeds the same. Both runs back to back using this new driver.  My Firestrike results below.

It seems their own QA has dropped the ball on this one. But why not save money on QA when you have 80% market share anyways and let the customers do the QA for you.

Anyways, the thread in the nvidia forum is only 3 pages long and I didn't read anything about this issue yet so I decided to post it. I also filled out the form maybe it helps to speed things up by letting nvidia know about this obvious bug.
Official Windows 10 358.50 Game Ready WHQL Display Driver Feedback Thread

And kudos to Mr. cdc-951! I probably wouldn't have noticed it right away without looking to the fps counter. Eventhough we are talking about half the fps with this bug G-Sync smoothes it out pretty nicely. Which is actually a good sign. I mean with g-sync you don't feel fps drops as much... maybe I can skip the first pascal cards :P

strange one! I benched my system, too to make sure:

G-Sync disabled: >> 16585 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/8824433 (still a bit lower performance than previous driver with Gsync on... it was like ~16700. Could be in margin of error though.)

G-Sync enalbed fullscreen mode: >> 11480 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/8824535 (yay timetravel back to 290X performance)

Yep did that already. Hopefully it speeds things up. Anyone experiences the same issue may also fill in the form in the survey.
Since Bdary doesnt seem to have this issue, it could be a more specific problem.

I will test everything when I get home Friday night. If I am getting issues, I will definitely be submitting the bug reports.. I am getting frustrate with having multiple cards and the system causing failures.

Re: 358.50 WHQL Driver released (Star Wars: Battlefront Open Beta.) 2015/10/07 11:53:00 (permalink)
I'm going to do some game testing with & without Gsync later this evening to see if there's any difference on my rig.

I wasn't going for a high score here, but just testing the same clocks with vs without Gsync.  All CPU & GPU clock speeds the same. Both runs back to back using this new driver.  My Firestrike results below.

With Gsync disabled in the NVCPL.  >>  15,647  http://www.3dmark.com/fs/6164773
With Gsync enabled using Full screen mode only.  >>  15,679  http://www.3dmark.com/fs/6164836

strange one!

Snipes7, fill out the feedback form if you haven't already.. I doubt Nvidia cares about the forums...

http://surveys.nvidia.com...02641fa8f07694a40f8ac6 <that is linked in post one. Make sure you provide the details like you have already.

Yep did that already. Hopefully it speeds things up. Anyone experiences the same issue may also fill in the form in the survey.
Since Bdary doesnt seem to have this issue, it could be a more specific problem.

You do know that when enabling g-sync it also enables v-sync under the gloabl settings right? If you want to run with just g-sync you will need to disable v-sync under the global settings tab.
