I am looking for recommendations for a large mouse pad type surface for my computer desk.
The keyboard will sit on it and the RAT 7 mouse as well.
34" wide x 18" deep would be maximum size
Like this if the surface is ok for mouse

    The mod right pad is rubbery, and the mouse doesn't track well across mine. I have the corsair gaming mouse surface that is about 10"x12" or so. It has worked great for me since I picked it up.

    I like pads, corsair makes some nice metal pads. As for I have a MM600 never going back to mats again....http://www.corsair.com/en/corsair-vengeance-mm600-dual-sided-gaming-mouse-mat

    Get a roll of spandex black (1 yard) tack it under or edge shape of area don't matter its a stretch to fit. 5 bucks is what it will cost you.

    Believe it or not, I use a plain white ceramic tile.  It works great! Once in a while I spray it with silicone.

    I covered my entire desk with dry erase board or marker board.  Smooth as silk, can take quick notes, easy to clean, no edges, and when the desk is dirty it's obvious, also one piece gave me 4 desk tops 2ft x 4ft desk.  Been wanting to try chalk board.
