Hello, first off welcome to the forums!
Postcode C is normally something is not making a good connection or is not plugged in. First off I would double check the EPS connector make sure that is plugged in, I have done it myself when I had changed out a board, got postcode C from not plugging that in. I would start there, make sure the EPS is firmly plugged in and if your PSU is modular make sure it is securely plugged into the PSU as well, and the PSU portion will likely be labelled as either CPU or EPS.
Try pressing the CMOS reset button as well, that may help. If this does not resolve the problem I would next strip the board down to barebones, CPU+HSF, 1 stick of RAM, GPU that is it and try to get it to fire up. Also, if this does not fix it, reseat the CPU in the socket and make sure that you do not have any bent pins in the socket, as that can cause this as well. Also, not as likely, but it could be a grounding issue, if the other things do not work I would recommend pulling it out of the case and testing it on a non conductive surface such as anti static foam, wood, or even cardboard and retest there.
Typically a C code out of the box is just something grounding, or a connection problem, occasionally a bad component.
