I currently have a classified. Wanting alittle more power untill pascal comes out and something else to bench with for awhile.

Anyways, Iv been looking at some kingpins but I want it to work in sli also.  Going to be getting a 21:9 3440x1440 Acer Predator XR341CK monitor when the gsync models comes out in a month or so. So I need that extra power...

So will this work without any hickups? I dont play alot of games, mostly BF4, GTA5 are mostly what I play. Afew other steam games too.

Thanks.

You should not have any issues with a 780ti Kingpin and Classified models in SLI.

Hey guys i have a question. I just got a 780ti Kingping and I also have a 780ti classified. Just finished putting the sytem together. Its running great, but from time to time the kingpin downclocks to default speeds and i start seeing microstutter when it does this. Is there a fix. I use msi afterburner.

    My system is:
    evga z97 classified
    4790k 4.8ghz
    gskill 2400 mhz ram
    evga 1300 g2 psu
    samsung 940 pro
    windows 8.1
all the latest and greatest drivers.

I have a mild overclock for now till I get this figured out 1215mhz is what it boosts to.

It seems like when it gets below 89% on the kingpin it drops mhz, the further down it goes 88-87-86 the more it drops mhz. But The thing thats weird is the 2nd card (the classified) stays in the upper 90's for percentage the whole time. The kingpin is the only one that looses percentage...  Is this normal, I havnt ran SLi since the days of the 8800GT..

Mine didn't show such behavior in first months.
Even on 85C clock was same.
I notice that few times and then I exit from game and increase fan speed to stay bellow 80C but even on 84-85C Clock didn't drop.
Maybe that was with that driver or maybe have nothing with drivers.
And people must demand from NVIDIA to move border on 90C. Graphic chips are safe on that temperatures and people with reference models are mostly hit with fact that on 84-85C clock drop. And I think now anyone who can afford should think about some kind of watercooling. Hybrid or custom or something as EKWB Predator. Now really have very nice option. Almost you can't decide what is better. Kit in box up to 350$, EKWB Predator or custom loop from different part if someone have to invest more money in loop.
In moment when temp pass from 89C to 90C in that moment clock should go down no matter on anything.
That's about 5C from last safe temperature, keeping on 95C constantly probably could cause degradation on longer period and if clock drop 5-7C before that chips are safe.

Not talking about temps lol. :)  Talking percent usage. Thanks though.

Yes, this is normal. The boost clock can vary depending on the application, there are many factors that can affect the boost clock. Workload % definitely affects the clock speeds.

Thanks for the response. I just find it weird that the main card (kingpin) will be at stock speeds while the second card (classified) will be at full boost.  I wonder if switch the kingpins bios with a classified bios would change anything?

I wouldn't switch the vbios. The vbios on the classified looks to only support one type of memory while the kingpin supports all three types...

Notes: Look under bios internals for each.

Thanks for the help Sajin..  Guess i'll have to deal with it. Kinda bugs me lol. But thats what I get for going with 2 diffrent style cards.  Mind  you it runs great. BF4 ultra with everything maxed runs 110fps at 1440p, I have it locked at 110 cause of the refresh rate on my monitor is 110.   So untill i get a 3440x1440 monitor ill just have to deal with the lower usage.
