At GTC 2015 in March NVIDIA's CEO showed off the 1st prototype HBM board and this is the 2nd prototype/beta which looks much different. It's expected that the consumer version will have 16GB of HBM2 memory and the professional version 32GB of HBM2 memory

This will be HBM2 DX12 monster, I can bet I will break my record and pay Pascal more than 800e in 2016...

For those gamers screaming for NV link... Lol: "While NVLINK isn’t planned for commercial integration right now, it will be featured in PCs using ARM64 chips and some x86 powered HPC servers that utilize from OpenPower, Tyan and Quantum solutions."

You aren't getting it basically. This is a prime example why people should not read outside the lines.. NVlink has ALWAYS been advertised for "deep learning" from Nvidia... That has nothing to do with gaming.

There is this, which will be beneficial:

"When connected to a CPU that does not support NVLink, the interconnect can be wholly devoted to peer GPU-to-GPU connections enabling previously unavailable opportunities for GPU clustering."

It sounds sort of like SLI 2.0 maybe?

    Thanks OP.
Looks cool; wonder if it will be priced less than the current TESLA GPU.

Wow, up to 32gb and even 16gb would mean SLI would only be a overkill option.

I can't wait to see what HBM will be like in 2016/2017.
