Hello,
I just got my 980ti Classified today and i feel like it is running hot. It was hitting 82 C at max and averaged at 77 C (while in game) the card self boosted to 1404 mhz (fans were on auto and did not go past 50%) Is this normal for this card or is it to hot ?

System:
Intel i7 4770
16gb of Corsair Vengeance Ram
on Asus Maximus extreme VI MOBO
Screen: asus p278q 1440p
PSU: 1000 watt

If any other information is needed let me know
Edit: card has asic of 79%

change your fan curve so that fan spin faster at a certain temp. I set my fan curve to spin at %60 @ 60 degrees

    what case are you using?

    what are your ambient temperatures?

if you are using a smaller case with not a lot of intake and exhaust fans then it is normal for a card on stock fan profile to get up to 82c.

Make your own fan profile to keep the temps down.

It should be noted that 82c max / 77c average is well within tolerances and is actually running pretty well. My 980 Tis run at 83c / 79c respectively under full load, though that's been with the recent major heatwave here. I wouldn't expect the Classified to be much different.

yep, 82c is definitely within spec if you are on the stock fan profile for silence.
