Microsoft is using a new tactic to keep Windows 10 users from switching away from its Edge browser. The first time Edge users search for “chrome” or “firefox” using Bing — presumably with the intent of downloading those browsers from Google or Mozilla  , respectively — they are shown a serious-looking message at the top of the search results.

Doesn't surprise me. Microsoft has grown too big for it's own good.

I personally refuse to even use bing. My default search engine has and always will remain Google. Bing's main page has too many ads for my taste, plus the whole thing looks like a big popup.

Before you search go into the Edge settings and change the search provider. Problem solved.
