Hi Everyone, (Sorry, just realized should have posted in the correct part of the forum, please move mods..)

I have had my system down for about 3 weeks from folding, was doing Seti challenge, and taking a break before from the heat.

Was doing some maintenance before starting to fold again,
but saw on afterburner that the fans on my middle 770 were at zero speed.
So pulled it out and found one blade on each fan cracked and touching the side........

Looks like the fans have dropped a couple of mm and now touching the bottom 770.

Anyone else had this happen???

Cheers
Steve

    Steve,
I have not had any fan problems with my 780 SC or 780 FTW, but I came home a few weeks ago and my screen was all freaked out. The culprit was the SC. I took it out and the FTW is running fine. I keep both on the "aggressive" fan curve since my room gets pretty warm. I never let the temps get over 68 on the cards. I think I just ran it too hard too long. The fans spin fine and there is no physical damage that I can see so hopefully I can RMA the card. I hope this is covered - if not I will get another 970 to replace it.
I know that does not help you, but I did want to let you know I have a bad 700 series card. I have never RMA'd anything with EVGA because everything always worked fine until now. Good luck with it.

    Cheers Robby,
this is the first time I have had any issue at all with an EVGA product. This card is about 2 years old and was running at 100% 24/7, 365.
Am thinking of pulling one of my 760's out and using the fans from it to get the 770 up and running again.

    Cheers

    Hello HK-Steve,

We do apologize for any inconveniences. Please register your product to your EVGA account and contact our EU support +49.89.189.049.11 or supportEU@evga.com to set up a RMA for a warranty replacement.

    Regards,

    Thanks James,
I do not think this is a warranty claim, as the 2 video cards were so close together.
More about my installation more than anything else.

    Cheers

I would still recommend contacting our support team. At worse there may be a repair/replacement fee for the ACX cooler.

    Hi Steve,
I had that exact same issue with my 780TI Classified last year. Blades just got weak at the base and bent out of shape and were hitting the shroud. Had 1 break right off. I think they were becoming aware of an issue with the fan blades at that time and they took good care of me with an RMA. I think that this is a warranty claim Steve. You still have a year of warranty left, take advantage of it
