Asus givin the acer predator a run for its money considering 75Hz vs 100Hz. Everything else seemingly the same upfront.

    That's my next monitor, 100%.

It's very nice, they offer nice gaming, not laptop...
If you want at least little to enjoy on gaming with laptop you need normal mouse and keyboard...
When you install that next thing is screen, he start to annoy you and than you connect laptop to monitor...
And than you figure out that i7 is strong as i5 and GTX980M close to GTX780. And than you leave keyboard, mouse and monitor and sell laptop and again build desktop PC with proper hardware....

Except back side of monitor, ASUS is much better. ACER prepare something similar but they start to build that after ASUS show pictures for 3800R and they recognize that people like him. But I believe Acer Predator X35 screen is not much worse than ASUS.
    ACER make excellent monitors.

I never payed 1000$ for monitor...
But price of monitors drop after some time it's not as Intel processors or NVIDIA graphic cards.
I afraid when time come I would rather pay for Pascal GP100 than monitor.
Only for graphic card or whole platform(CPU, memory, motherboard) I'm not sorry to pay arround 1K.
For cell phone, monitor, TV, around 600. For cell phone even less, never above 300-350.

Steve if you win the lotto, remember "sharing is caring."  Very promising monitor, but the price is double what I'm willing to pay.
4K @100Hz ,were getting close now ,huh?

Me to, 500 is last, 500-550 but what to do with monitor when you need first hardware, better TITAN X on 1080p than GTX970 and 3800R.

I don't know for others but for me example monitor with 60Hz is not problem at all.
Ideal gaming for me is on 2560 60Hz VSync on...
Because of that when some monitor no 144Hz for me is not flaw...
Other people want strictly 144Hz and complain about that, only I don't know how when some of them play on 280X or similar cards... Maybe for counter strike... Without 2 way SLI TITAN X better forget on 2560x1440p and over 100Hz...
It's not only problem to get 100 fps, many configuration could that... Problem is to minimal fps stay above 100 or around 100 in most graphic demanding games or better to lock on 60 Vsync.
Immediately when revision show up with little higher resolution, refresh rate, or different kind of IPS panel this model will drop on 600-650$ for less than year after launch. Monitor is not problem and to buy used if someone with deeper pocket cross on even better.
Biggest problem is transport, and possible damage, if he is OK that's same as new and after 12 months.

They are very similiar that I see no point in the asus monitor. Lower Hz, worst customer supportt (i have had good luck with acer) if acer can get good QC this should be a golden monitor.

Just wish we had a release date.

The seem to announce things way before release, anyone remember how long it was for the swift, and how long it is now for the 4k Gsync IPS? I'm not expecting this anytime soon.
