So we have been designing a wall mount case for sometime now. We have received my newest design from the powder coat shop yesterday and ready to move forward. This case is design to house a ATX and xl ATX (hole placement) do plan on make others for smaller and larger form factors. For now ATX for it is the most common. No limitations on GPU size or PSU size. An open-air computer case meets artistic design. Breaking from tradition, this wall mounted computer case is expressive and unique. All wires are to be ran behind panel with plenty of room and to mount other hardware that might be need for each build. There are a few things I still want to tweak but I also wanted to get the word out. Let me know what you guys think. We are lunching this on Kickstarter soon we were waiting for this to get back from the shop. All support is welcomed thank you
Here is our Facebook please give us a like and repost

This is the VM-Rigid

And this is the VM-dual

will be posting full build videos on both cases soon.

Just a heads up, EVGA forums requires you get permission to do self-promotion of products. Might shoot an email off to EVGA admin or have the thread moved to ModsRigs.

Def like the idea and layout but my only gripe would be that it needs a full size smoked acrylic cover. Something that resembles the shape of a cover for a electric frying pan, if that helps you to imagine what I'm describing. Dust and webs tend to stick to walls pretty easily and having a pc pulling air toward it will Def make that worse.

@Pgcmoore. .. naw, those just have high brushed aluminum sides with a sheet of tempered glass in front, pretty much like a pc case. I mean something more like the lid on this: http://www.kmart.com/presto-16inch-jumbo-electric-skillet/p-2710000000006850P   but picture this top in the smoked acrylic or even just clear, if that helps at all. This version would be a one piece, rounded high sides, just like the lid in the pict but no handle of course, that will meet the metal case all around and latch on somehow, in a smoked acrylic so when the PC's off you can't see what's in there and it can blend with the room better, instead of adding more alum to the sides and heavy glass like the lian li's. That should be able to keep the cost down some while protecting the components and keeping the dust out too.

Im right with you on the cover,  in each corner there is a silver bolt right now that is for stainless steel standoffs .  There will be covers for these cases, i am just waiting for my waterjet guy to cut my covers for this case and the larger case.  As for dust it collects it slower than any closed computer case, because it doesn't have fans blowing dust directly on to the parts.  Or have walls to hold the dust in.  I had the large setup on my wall for 4 months now with little signs of dust forming now.

A lid like a frying pan would make it exactly that. not a good idea IMO

I like it open like it is for this style. The Lian Li cases with pcie extensions makes for a nice thin design and the glass compliments it but this is different.
I wouldn't mind seeing some cable management for the I/O cables of mobo. Possibly in the form a hood or a channel to cover them or maybe some more hex mesh to match the rest of it and mostly conceal but still breath. I don;t know just a thought I was sitting here thinking how and where I'd put it in my space and I'd definitely see the need for some long cables. Maybe a hub type system that would place all I/O one side routed down from the top for built in extension cables. I guess that could get pretty hairy trying to please everybody sorry for thinking out loud.

Feed back is always welcomed.  Im actually designing a cover right now for the io wires.  As for making this for everyone is the biggest task to designing this case.  But I will try to tackle as many as I can.

Would be nice to hang it right below the a/c vent, keep it nice and cool. I also like it open.
I think a daily dusting would keep it nice and clean, and cool. But please, keep us posted!
Would also make a nice insert for a custom made desk with a glass top, like others I have seen,
Lots of potential there for sure, looks very nice with the components installed.
Gonna be heavy though, will need to hit the studs center, or Tap-con into concrete wall.

A wall mounted PC is something I would love to poor thousands of dollars into, and then make it the center piece of my living room, as mounted HTPC. This looks beautiful! Let us know when you start manufacturing the frame for commercial sale, and provide us a link! Great job!

Quick update I finally got the standoffs and the acrylic window cut.  I think for the production cases it will be a grey tinted window.  The standoffs are stainless steel and give an inch clearance .  I will have pricing finalized in 2 weeks and will be ready to lunch.

Reminds me of my plexy glass wall mount I did for my for my first steam machine I still use it and its mounted behind the 55 inch Visio. I used bic ink pen shells cut in half as the motherboard risers and 2 inch wide Velcro strips to Mont the PSU/laptop hard drive and Xbox receiver  .

I do love the cover over the face of your cases.
Personally I think its rather large and you should make it a Desk case , All and all way better then mine and it looks wonderful. I would buy one for sure.
