After a long drawn out process of trying to figure out what was crashing Media Player Classic and VLC player, the techs at both companies have gotten back to me with crash reports I have given them and let me know that precision is crashing both programs.  On a quick side note as well, it crashes the mouse cursor on the StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void Beta.  It will be fine until you load into a game and then the cursor will freeze and you cannot move it.  Back to the Media Players, EVGA precision, the most recent version as of today's date will crash both Media Player Classic and VLC player, especially when using the LAV splitter and codec.  Just wanted to forward this information and hopefully it helps someone as frustrated as I was.  All the best going forward.  EVGA still makes the best products out there.

I'm also having the same problem, VLC & MPC players both crash usually within a couple minutes of starting a video, happens with Precision 5.3.6 and 5.3.7, but no crashing with 5.3.5.
    Running Windows 10.

I have been having the same issue and it has been driving me nuts. I thought that this was due to Intel Rapid Storage but tonight finally figured out that its EVGA PrecisionX 16 v5.3.7. It has been crashing both WMP and MPC with k lite using LAV splitter and codec within several minutes of playing videos. I have tried this in both Windows 7 and Windows 8 and both behave the same way. I don't think this is a poor reflection on EVGA's software. I think its just a minor bug that can only be diagnosed by the end user.

Yep precision x is crashing my media players too, to no end, it happened in windows 7 and a newly installed windows 10. Looks like i have to switch off precision whenever I want to watch a video as the codecs just crash. It is pretty freaking annoying.

+1 . Playing videos goes bonkers when Precision x 5.3.6 is running on Wins 7-64 . Version 5.3.5 is fine for media player classic but not for windows media player.

EDIT: Nevermind. VLC and Media Player Classic still crash when v5.3.5 is running

Windows 7 64bit.   And yes I've tried the new version and it still crashes all programs listed below.
It also crashes the mouse cursor in star craft 2 and heroes of the storm.
I just turn precision off now.  I hope this helps the development team. Please let me know if you would like any log files.

I'm having the same issue with VLC, Pot player and media player crashes with PRECISIONX turned on. Does anyone know if there is a version which don't crash? I'm using Win 10.

Media Player classic is also crashing on my freshly installed windows 10 and precision is also causing problems with MPC.

I added mpc-hd64.exe manually to precisionxserver.cfg, but that doesn't help either. I can't get the server to appear on the tray, so I did that manually. I'm using windows 10 64bit with precision 5.3.7..

I have the same problem, it is really annoying. I do not want to use MSI Afterburner, since I like EVGA Precision X way better. I hope you will do something about it.
