This is my first post in this forum, so I take the chance to say hello to everyone here and thanks in advance for all the help.
I recently purchased and assembled all the pieces for a new pc, everything is fine except my gtx960 gpu is not detected by the system.
I plugged my monitor to the 960, but the system only sees the MoBo integrated gpu (however, the BIOS shows nVidia plugged in PCI-E2).
My problem is totally similar to this one: forums.evga.com/EVGA-GEFORCE-GTX-960-not-recognized-Please-Help-m2303853.aspx, with the noticeable difference that a fresh OS reinstall did not solve it.
The EVGA gpu totally works when installed on my friend's pc, and so do other gpus installed in my MoBo. I really cannot figure out what the problem may be for the life of me.
Here are my specs:
MoBo: AsRock H97 Performance
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB
CPU: i5-4690k (not OC'd)
PSU: Corsair TX650W
SSD: Adata Premiere 256GB
OS: Windows 7 Professional
I've tried fiddling with the BIOS, disabling onboard gpu, changing PCI-E speed, reinstalling the OS, nothing seems to work. I'm clueless.
