I don't think it was that bad, but Conan certainly made it amusing!
 
I really enjoyed the movie and after watching several gameplay videos showing the size of the map, which I figured would be huge considering the developers are Avalanche {Just Cause devs} I had to buy it.  Been a long time since I played any game with vehicles you could crash for fun, Rust comes to mind however many yrs ago that was, horrible game that was.  Mad Max already looks way better!  BTW, you can pre-order it at GMG in their VIP section for $35.99, not a bad deal.

Well I thought it was one of the best movies to come out in a long time. Guess its just not your cup of tea.

Agreed. Seeing in theater was amazing. Reminded me of borderlands with the shear ridiculousness of it.

Saw it in the theater too, iMax it was impressive, but it is a movie that is REALLY NOT FOR EVERYONE.  Same here, I really loved the Borderlands vibe, enjoyed the movie, almost cried when the wrecked the Falcon......  The original Mad Max (Mel Gibson for those who are younger) was the movie that got me into cars.  I was like 7 years old (watching one of my dads movies, my mom caught me and put an end to that really quickly) and it was the first time I ever saw a blower, I just stared with my mouth open, that's when I started reading everything I could about engines, and a 73 Falcon GT XB became the first car I ever said I WANT THAT CAR about.  (Hence WHY I almost cried when they wrecked the Falcon, yes Roadwarrior almost gets me too....)
 
Anywho I saw the ad a while back, and does it look like it's going to be the greatest thing ever, definitely not, but it looks like it could be very fun in the same way as Borderlands is.  I will check out GMG for it, the game just looks fun, hope it turns out well.

Let us know how it goes Steve. The reviews seem all over the place, but I've heard from several that it's a good looking and optimized game so far.
 
Also, it seems on Steam you can also stream the movie itself.

A sense of irony if the game is remembered better than the movie. 

Played a few hours - * I'm hooked*
 
first 20 minutes or so, I was MEH - kinda plain generic console fare.
- then some more opened up for me & I thought , oh that'll be cool
-then a few more missions and even more stuff gets shown too you
- by a few hours I was shown a lot of potential depth of customizations, from different cars/ body styles , to car upgrades all over, - then your character appearance unlocks, to RPG-lite perk improvements for your guy ....etc....etc.
 
-started in 1 garage, it got raided-  had to move/ make a deal w/ another guy 
-few missions in - shown how to get upgrades for that new base / vehicles / guns / stats  etc..
 - saved a bomb sniffing dog companion -
 -mechanic made a 1st stage sniper rifle for me
 
* and map all opens up like shadow of Mordor, Far Cry,assassin creed, GTA ...* scout out areas & more missions/ items open up..etc..
 
IF all else fails and you don't feel like doing any missions - just wander about the wasteland & in less than  10 seconds a bandit patrol will give you some vehicular hell. ! 
 
*worth every penny in my book *
