980 Classified ASIC quality.

Mine is only 75.6%  Is that just average, or something?

    i had 3 980 classifieds.
     
    had a 76%, 83% and a 71%, id say 75% is somewhere around average.

    Ok. Does overclocking the card make the ASIC go higher? I'm guessing yes.

    No. The ASIC is more just a guideline for anything overclocking. Theoretically speaking the higher the ASIC the less voltage leak, the lower, the more voltage leak.
     
    Say the base clock of 1400, an ASIC rating of 75% may only need say 1.2 volts, where a card with the ASIC rating of 65% may need 1.25 volts. I just used random numbers btw.

    it affects in some matter how the chip behaves and 75% is a good average I would say.
