Do the fans on the 980 Ti ACX 2.0+ (4991) push onto the heat sink or suck away from it?

All ACX push air into the heat sink, or it would be fighting the flow of the entire case.

    So sorta like this?

And even though the picture is the SC version, it'll still work like that on the non SC version, yes?

ACX is ACX, no matter what, and exactly like that. Blower coolers work with the same concept also, air into the fan and through the heatsink to the back. That gives the natural case flow

Alright. I'm going to building a machine working with a case that has very tight quarters, and I think I might modify the case so that the GPU can suck cool air in from outside the case (Vent holes) so that it isn't sitting there eating stale/hot air that's sitting in the case otherwise. The cool air the gpu brings in will raise and be vented at the top where the CPU rad is located (there will be other intakes so it wont be all hot air running across the cpu rad :P).

It's the Lian Li PC-O7S if you're curious.

    Thanks for the info!

Hey, if you are going to do all that, take pictures and share them. We love looking at that sort of stuff around here.

Oh heck yeah I fully planned on it. There aren't very many lian li pc-07S builds out there. I have great plans for that case.
