Good to hear... I feel the same way about my X79 Dark & my X58 E770 Classy. Both run daily and OC'd. The Dark for 2 years now and the Classy is coming up on 5 years in December... No issue's with either one. (knocks wood)

My Dark has recently developed some serious boot issues. Now I can't get past the BIOS POST more than 1 time in about 7 reboots. It hangs while loading my RAID card, an Adaptec 7805, BIOS into memory - using a different motherboard BIOS, resetting CMOS, nothing makes it work consistently. And it started happening out of the blue after years of working (more or less for an EVGA board) properly. And before you say it is the RAID card - I used every component except the motherboard with my spare Asrock Extreme6 and it boots just fine, every time. I also purchased the cross-shipment option from EVGA. I opened the RMA on the 12th, and it still hasn't shipped out. The cherry on the top is that they send it out signature required (on a motherboard that isn't even manufactured anymore and worth around $200), which is a serious issue for single people like me. If it isn't shipped on Monday I will be getting my money back. EVGA's support has been seriously degrading over the years, which has caused me to purchase non-EVGA graphics cards for the first time in a very long time.

Eh, owning this board sure has been a frustrating experience.....it sure felt like buying an early access/alpha game nowadays. Plenty of promises in the beginning with month long waits to get some fixes.......to then be dropped for the next product.

I think maybe to keep EVGA Z77 FTW/3770K and 2x4GB DDR3 as back up system. You never know what could happen with ASUS board. Customers need only little luck and EVGA motherboard can be most reliable boards in their life. Gamers and normal users who use motherboard 24/7 have nothing if some motherboard reach records for CPU and memory if they change 1000 samples and all of them use boards and CPU few days or few weeks... Gamers have more advantage if some motherboard is good and reliable as server motherboards and can work non stop.

Except, plenty of problems have been well documented on the forums? They did finally release a bios that did fix some of the problems, but it took them over a year to release it I believe? And during that time they moved on to release the x79 dark. Yeah, they were kind enough to give us the option to trade in our buggy motherboards for the dark.........if we were willing to drop even more money. Yeah mine still "works", but its far from perfect.

I think EVGA improve little their motherboard section. At least that's my experience looking from side. Maybe owners think that other brands are perfect but all others suffer from different problems and think same for other manufacturers. When I say improved I compare with Z77/X79 period. Z87/Z97/X99 and I hope Z170 are completely different situation. Special Z97, I saw some very nice builds over net Z97 Classified, but function on Z170 Classified offer more options than previous chipsets.

You can find problems on any/all motherboard forums - EVGA is your best bet - hence my OUTSTANDING Experience. The main thing is to stay away from that Asus Garbage.

I had the EVGA X79 FTW for 2 years with out a hitch . Then evga let me upgrade to the EVGA X79 Dark , now starting its 3rd year with out a hitch . I run mine at a mild oc only 4400 . I run my computers 24/7 there only off for a reboot if I update a program that needs it . Heck not even sure if I ever updated the dio's on ether board . My EVGA Z68 SLI is 3 years old and still runs like new , thats more the I can say for the asrock board that the Ethernet comes and go's when it likes to had to put a usb Ethernet on it .If I ever have to upgrade it will most likly be a EVGA board .
