...then the predator 240 gets released next month...

You talking about the EK Predator cooling? Looks really interesting.. and EK are usually high quality, so I'll be watching to see how this performs. The only issue I see is having the pumps at the end of the radiator may preclude them from use in many cases because of that additional length.

True. But we'll see. I'm going to be running the Coolermaster Pro 5.

I use Corsair chassis but they seem find with air, but AIO water seems to be safe enough

The price on the predator 240 is a little high for my tastes but it is down from the $239.99 that was listed a few days ago: https://shop.ekwb.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Predator+240

Next year they will be dramatically more affordable

I was only going to go with this because I was changing from the Thermaltake Core v71 case to the Cooler Master Mastercase 5 but when I did some research around with the top radiator bracket, it only supports slim 240's, so this means I couldn't run that in push/pull configuration. With that being said that means it's pointless from me to change from my Corsair H110i GT to the Predator 240 because I was only doing it to go with the new case.

Yes I could just put it In the front but I don't want to put a radiator up front. I prefer to have my CPU radiator up top.

I think to cross from H110 on Predator 360mm and to connect EVGA graphic card with waterblock in loop.
For that I will need to install Predator 360mm on top of the case. It's not problem because case have everything necessary for that, holes for cables from pump, other holes for tubes from performance side probably is even better, and I can move case outside every month to clean radiator with duster.
Dust will not enter in case. Only is not so good visually as inside, but I don't have place for 360mm radiator and I want Predator 70% because graphic cards now and in future and 30% because CPU. i7-5820K on 4.0GHz and H100 can cool down. Predator 240mm is I think small for both.
With Predator 360mm I can change at least 2-3 Hydro Copper graphic cards before become old. And I could make modification. For now EKWB Predator is much nicer for me than even H220X.... Special place with pump/res look very well made, and CPU block is one of nicest on market, but we will see for few days...
It's good for any combination if customers could replace tubes and fittings, they could sell CPU block and to buy Supremacy Evo, depend of need or some other block later.
Only for CPU I would go on H110i GT it's faster, similar temps, and I never push hardware to end...
but Predator advantage is if customer plan to cool down and GPU... Special people with 250W power consumption graphics.

I ordered my Skylake chip yesterday. The only combo deals they had were for ASUS, MSI & Gigabyte. I refuse to run the three because I don't want to speak to tech support people in the middle east.

Aside from that I called and spoke to a supervisor and they created a custom package for me. I got my ASRock Z170 Gaming K6+ motherboard and the skylake 6700k. This way I'm able to stick with my same color theme.

I hear ASRock X99 OC Formula is good motherboard.
Only they should paint heatsinks in silver or black... 5 years warranty.

Besides feeling flimsy I always have problems with ASRock. The Z77 Extreme4 I put in my sister's PC I built for her lost the BIOS settings today. I just got that back from RMA replacement for the same reason. I walked her through the BIOS over the phone and now she is a certified 'computer geek/nerd'.

I'm not sure what board you're referring to as flimsy, but I've never ran across that on building 6 buildings using them for customers and one of those included myself. It'll be 7 once the Z170 chip gets here.

I will say that pre LGA 1150, when they were making boards for the Ivy/Sandy LGA 1155 socket those weren't the best quality. They've drastically stepped up since moving to the LGA 1150 socket which is why I decided to give them a chance and they haven't let me down. I do think MSI makes nice boards, though as I stated above with Gigabyte & ASUS. I'm not going to spend my American dollars if they can't get me some proper tech support of people that I can actually understand. I switched from AT&T to Verizon because of this and I've also withdrew all my money from my Capital One account and switched to my local Federal Credit Union.

The one I was most unhappy with was my first and last ASRock board referred to as the Z77 Extreme4. It's too short and has no holes for the right hand standoffs and really really flexes when you plug in the 24-pin motherboard connector. I had to RMA it once for losing BIOS settings and now the replacement did it to my sister yesterday.

Yea, I didn't use them pre LGA 1150. My LGA 1155 was a Gigabyte(after I ruled MSI/ASUS out). I gave them both a chance before but after having to deal with the middle eastern tech support and the annoyance that came along with it I gave Gigabyte a shot. A fan header on the motherboard was dead so I had to call them and deal with the same, and the annoyance as well. I figured at this point I'd try ASRock for my next build(LGA 1150). I'm not sure how their tech support is but if it's anything like the stuff I had to deal with before then I'll rule them out and EVGA will have to be my next build, but until then I like the ASRock mobos.

I like the look of the EVGA Classified, but the price of the mobo is more then I'll ever be willing to pay unless it appeals to all my likes. The FTW is okay but neither of those two fit my red/black color theme.

One thing I think all companies should incorporate is how on EVGA classifieds the 24 pin is on an angle which makes cable management a tad more easier. I think EVGA should incorporate this into all of their mobos and that all other manufacturers should follow this.

WHERE THE HELL IS THE i7-6700k????? Seriously, STILL nobody has them, unless you want to pay double retail price (and probably not receive it until everyone else has them available as well), or you buy a combo from Newegg - except none of them are EVGA motherboards, and I think even Newegg are out of stock now, unless you buy a complete pre-built system. These were supposedly released on August 5th - nearly a month ago - and still no stock anywhere!??? The i5-6600k was released the same day, and there is plenty of those around, so what the hell Intel??? We are NOT amused.

I can get the chip from my local place, as long as you're willing to cover the fees taxes and shipping I'll gladly get you one.

You're likely looking at at around 410-420ish. $340 + 9% tax. Then shipping say $5-7. Then whatever PayPal charges.

I was one of the lucky guys to "preorder" from Amazon at MSRP on 8/24 and got a delivery template date of 9/8. I upgraded the shipping to one day so now it's supposed to arrive tomorrow... FINALLY! I'm going to build my Z170 Hadron Hydro and report back once I'm up and running.

I pre-ordered one about a week ago from  and got the i7 6700k yesterday. Price plus shipping was about $370, which isn't bad. I'd never used the site before, but they seem to do live updates on product availability. Didn't charge my card until right before it shipped either.

You prepare small Z170 RIG in Hadron Hydro...
That will be fantastic. What you plan for cooling, custom loop or AIO?

It seems MicroCenter have them (at least some of the outlets), but as usual it's in-store pickup only...

I'm using the Hadron Hydro water cooling system. Got it to post yesterday (not done with the build yet) and will continue to give you guys updates on this little beast when I can.

Still nothing on Amazon / Newegg / TigerDirect. NA board manufacturers must be getting annoyed at getting new boards out there in time for the launch on 5th August, and not being able to sell them because Intel still have no stock over a month later.

You're right. I feel like Old Mother Hubbard 'cause the cupboard is bare. I had no problems pre-ordering my DC 4790k and it was at my front door on release day. The smart money is to wait for the Z117 chipset which will be more polished and proven like the Z97 was to the Z87. By that time the 6700k CPU should be plentiful.

I think most if not all of the main sites are fully backordered so your best bet is picking one up locally (checkout BH as I almost ordered with them and I've heard good results in other forums). I see you are located in Brooklyn... keep a shortcut to the nearest Microcenter on your desktop and open it every hour or so. The MC near me in VA has been getting in 10 or so each week usually on their Thurs shipments. I'd also call them to see their delivery days/times and call back just after on those days. Good luck!

Thanks RedTerror.. although Zuhl3156's comment about waiting for the Z117 has made me stop and rethink now, lol... and maybe that is what I'll do, which is precisely why board manufacturers should be getting steamed at Intel for this delay.

Based on the build in your sig, I'd probably hold off as well. I built my Z170 rig because I was still running an x58 / i7 950 (lasted a good time at 4.3) lol - I'm still amazed at how strong of a platform this is first gen so far though.

By the time the Z117 is released there should also be a i7-6790k Devils Canyon II ??? Maybe 4.8 GHz Base Clock with a 5.2 GHz Turbo Boost ???

It certainly would. This is the first time I've been happy with what I have and didn't feel the need to jump on the latest chipset and CPU but that would certainly give me a reason to change my mind.

I'm looking at moving to a mini-ITX build, so the Stinger & i7-6700k would be nice, with a single 980Ti.

Still nothing at Newegg, Amazon, TigerDirect, MicroCenter also out of stock (near me at least.. and I would prefer delivery anyway).

Really Intel???  Anyone seen any explanation from Intel as to why there is still zero stock anywhere more than 7 weeks after release? Starting to wonder if there's something wrong with these CPUs...

Brutal eh?  I can't remember a CPU release that didn't have availability right at, or shortly after official release.   Pretty soon it will be 2 months.

I got super lucky with B&H Photo (One of the few US computer supply that ship to Canada).  I was checking every site that shipped to me about every hour or two and they had stock all of a sudden.  Ordered.  Got a 6700k on Sept 10th.

Checked Newegg - a new combo just came up today where you don't have to spend a few hundred dollars extra on a motherboard you don't even want.

Link for combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2503729.19-117-559

          $396.98 total

Gets you i7-6700k plus an infrared thermometer heavily discounted, plus $10 combo discount.
Effectively you're paying the regular Newegg price of $369.99 for the CPU, and $26.99 extra for the thermometer. Worth it imho, even if you don't need a laser thermometer.

I've ordered with 3 day delivery, and it's gone into packaging stage - just hoping I don't get an email later today telling me it's on back order...

I'll update once it says shipped.. or otherwise.

Of course EVGA has no Z170 Stingers in stock, and hasn't for a while...

Couple of other combos some here may prefer:

i7-6700k + Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD : $461.98
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2495854

i7-6700k + Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD : $543.98
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2495856

nice.
