They should be good, I've reported a few today. And yeah! We're catching up on 9th, keep pushing!!

Yeah, Tuesdays are maintenance day. Got more than enough work in the meantime.

We have a great hourly production, more than enough to keep distance to whatever coming from beneath.
I had my eyes on the Chinese for a while, but it seems they are more concerned about their stock market today.
Anand will most likely stomp the Italians in a few hours, and we will have a nice target to aim for.
With current production rate, we will mathematically take over the 9th from the Italians with one day margin.
Seems they float on their bunker.

Keep it up gentlemen (Oops )

Orange_1050,
I hope your math is correct and we are on target for 9th place and overtake the Italians.
I may be able to add one more card to the mix tonight.
Press on TEAM!

The Italians seems to respond to the Anand overtake, and cranked up seriously.
They went from 12-15k hourly production up to 39K.
At this speed, they might even punish Anand.
Will be interesting to watch this race from our safe 10th
Still several days to go, much can happen.

The 39K from the Italians seemed to be a short boost. They have been pritty stable at 15K this Whole day.
Meaning, at current Production, we all eat spaghetti for breakfast, 15hrs from now, that's just about when I have my breakfast
To Ensure my predictions about the soon to come takeover, I added two more 760's to the party.
Now my basement, garage and even my attic is troughly cleansed of usable hardware

Fun crunching boyz

I even put floor standing fans to blow some more air around my workshop to cool everything down.
Still at 30'c room temp but crunching as hard as possible.

Well I could use an industrial cooling system! However...
Anelloni, Fedelini, Matriciani, Perciatelli, Ziti, Fetuccini, Vermicelli, Macaroni, Tortellini, Angel hair, just to name a few - so you get it - I love Italian food!
I have nothing else to throw at this challenge. I added a vanilla EVGA GTX 660 to the mix this evening.
Told the wife I was trying to extract some pics off the old XP machine.
I too have no more hardware to add to this challenge. (check my computers under SETI if you want a laugh!)
We are at a comfortable #10 (and it appears there are no threats to our #10 position)
But it would be nice to slide up 1 to #9.
Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this challenge! Every single point counts!!
I will pass on Orange's advice about "keep it up"
and just say - press on!
ps. If anyone wants to contribute - we are on the home stretch!!! Any help would be great!
Props to those hanging in there!

And then the takeover is a fact, the Italians are eating dust
Fantastic achievement from all you guys, thank you

Now Anand should be slightly uncomfortable by having us in their rear mirror.
The last days we have been slightly ahead of their production rate, and we still have a couple of days to go.
No time for them to relax now

Congratz!
AnandTech is pretty strong this year. Also a group of good guys. Doesn't mean we shouldn't give it our all and give them a good run. Let's go go go!

Yodap is right on. Anand show great performance, and have delivered very steady producing points.
I have done my math here, and at current production, all we can offer them is a good run.
In my book, easing down now is a big no no.
We need to show our good crunching fellows we keep it going to the bitter end.
In 50hrs, we can celebrate our fantastic achievement of pushing hard all the way, no matter the position

Happy to see we still push hard, actually, we have decreased the gap between us and Anand since 10hrs ago.
Good job everyone.

A little tip of the day for the road.
I guess most of you already know this but I throw it out anyway.
In this challenge, and most often other challenges too, we all have pretty big work queues. We bring down as much as we can get in case the project halts, so we see to it we have enough work.
When the challenge is over, we are stuck with several days of work, and have to either abort them or keep on crunching until we are done.
What I use to do is this.
When the end of a challenge is closing up, I go to the project page, into my account and "Preferences for this project"
Here you can edit the "Resource Share".
I set this to 0 or blank.
When this is set to zero, you will not maintain your queue, it will empty out, but when your queue is none, you will be fed work units as they are done. So no queue, you report a task, and one new will be given.
As long as they have work, the performance loss is only theoretical.
But be aware, if you crunch more than this one project, the other project with higher resource priority, will take over.
This comes quite in handy especially in PrimeGrid, cause they really deliver wu's according to the "Store at least XX days of work".
I sat this Resource share to zero for SETI yesterday, and this morning most of my rigs have no more queue, still crunching at full speed.
Also, when I have been doing a challenge, I feel for going back to do projects of my own likings.
As for SETI, my concerns of if it's intelligent life out there is rather mellow.
I think the best proof of intelligent life out there, is the fact that they never made contact.

Have a beautiful day Gentlemen
