And if they could calc it out after the 31st it would probably be much lower after many roll back to 7.

There would definitely be a drop, I would be very curious to see what the number was AFTER accounting for rollbacks.

Honestly, if I haven't spent so much time removing all the invasion probes and if I knew I would never have to work on a computer with Windows 10, I would have removed it from my laptop on day 1. I don't HATE it but it makes me appreciate Windows 7 much more. I know for sure there is a huge number that have uninstalled or rolled back after some of the piracy clarifications were mentioned.

Yep...  I rolled back to 8.1 after I couldn't get windows 10 to recognize my 980's...  Repeating...  Rolled back to 8.1!!!  That says all you need to know about what I think of win10 atm.

I had to download it about 15 times before I got it properly installed. Makes me wonder how they equate the numbers.

Installing it via disc image (ISO) is the better route vs Windows Update. I've installed it on a few client computers using the ISO route and no problems here.

    Why would anyone roll back?
Why would anyone roll back to 8.1?

If you rolled back reply to this post and tell me why?
I haven't found anything wrong with this new version yet that made me want to go running back to 7.

I'll repost my issues from another thread and also make a note that, - I know alot about computers & troubleshooting them. The issues were slightly worse than I even posted here, it was abbreviated for ease of reading ( instead of an entire wall of text/ data )

     "
I ran Win 10 for 1 week.... I just spent hours of my weekend putting WIN 7 back on.!!

I liked most of everything but whatever the issue is between MS & NVIDIA. The latest Nvidia 'driver' or win10 system crashed 3x times in 1 week ,while I was doing pretty much nothing, to the point of where it would not recover nor go above 640x480 resolution.
Everytime this happened I had to reinstall the nvidia driver to get my screen/ monitor/ & resolutions back...

I have had NO issues like this under 7 ! My system has been pretty rock solid for a long time....

Win 10 is not ready for my 780 TI apparently -- ** & FYI - I upgraded to 10 as required , then did a full wipe & reinstall fresh copy , then put in my Win 10 board drivers..etc....

As I stated...  I couldn't get Win10 to recognize my 980's.  Updated the divers...  no difference...  Rolled back and re-installed 4 times.  I had the choice b/w Win8 at 1080 or Win10 at 640x480.

Through my 25 years of using Microsoft stuff, I've always found...  nothing can screw up a Microsoft product better than a Microsoft update. As much as I hate Win8.1, I have to say it's better than Win10...  Detecting the correct video card is pretty basic stuff these days, but it's just too much to ask of Win10.  It's too bad b/c I was pretty excited about Win10.  Now...  not so much.  I don't know when I will take the time to mess with that flaming pile again.  Sorry MS...  You failed....  aaaagggggain.

I was looking forward to being able to use all 32 GB of my RAM without spending $140 for Windows 7 Pro. I never had the SLI problem because I never enable it so I can Fold at night without having to chase my icons around the screen. Whenever I plugged a Firewall hole I got errors in my Event Viewer. I just don't feel comfortable having my data traipsing around the globe. The final straw was when I got back from shopping and OneDrive wasn't uploading my motion activated video. Halfway into restoring my Windows 7 System Image and formating the system drive I realized I logged into the wrong OneDrive account. Oops, my bad. I might give it a try again some day but I'm really not that thrilled about it.

So what I have gathered is that NVIDIA had a bad driver launch with the new OS and people are rolling back over this, why not wait a few days for an update?

I've been on the fence changing my alienware laptop from 8.1 to 10. So far I have no issues with 8.1 but I dont want to deal with any problems fixing anything being on 10.
Desktop for now will stay on Win 7 Ultimate, I rather purchase win10 and go dual boot.

Desktop for now will stay on Win 7 Ultimate, I rather purchase win10 and go dual boot.

That sounds like the smart thing to do.

I've been on the fence changing my alienware laptop from 8.1 to 10. So far I have no issues with 8.1 but I dont want to deal with any problems fixing anything being on 10.
