I've had this motherboard for a while, but since moving it into another (smaller) case and updating the BIOS and drivers I keep having the issue of random shut downs... First I thought maybe it was a temperature issue because it happened first when I was playing a game, but I checked the temps and everything looked fine.  I haven't installed any other software/hardware recently either.  Any ideas of what else could be causing this issue? :/

    which board?

what is the Vcore showing under load?

have you checked around your case for any shorted or burned wires?

When you moved the board to the new case, did you move the same PSU with it?

I would remove the board from the case and place it on a piece of cardboard or some other non conductive material.  Then run it again awhile to see if the issue persists.  If it doesn't, you may have a bit of solder flashing on the back of the board making contact with the case causing shorts.

    Hi krissyxo,

    Welcome to the forums!

Usually if the entire system is turning off it usually means that the CPU cooler could have come loose when moving the motherboard.  Please check to ensure that all 4 clips are locked into place. If the cooler is secure then you may also want to check your Power Supply as this is likely either a CPU overheating or the power supply being overloaded or overheating.

Normally I see 1.176V for the Vcore.  I'm not sure how to find any shorted wires?

I'm using a Cooler Master EVO 212 for cooling that does not appear to have come loose during the move to the new case.  I'm doubtful that it is overheating anyway because the hardware monitor software I have doesn't show the CPU going over 31C when idle (when it's still shutting off). :(

Figured it out!  My gpu was the issue... It was the only component (besides cables) that I removed from the mobo before moving it over to the new case.  But I noticed when I swapped it out for an older card the issue went away completely. :)  Soo now my only problem is I either had a loose card or a failing card.  Thanks for your help~! <3

Sounds good.  Hopefully reseating your GPU will have you up & running again...

Your psu could still be the issue. Running a older card that doesn't use as much power as your newer one could be masking the problem.
