how will you be linking the cooling on the sli, you gonna make your own from tubing? I saw a few swifteck connectors that may work well with them

I'll be using my Original Bitspower 1/2" double O-ring seal connectors I originally used on my EVGA GTX 580 Classified Ultra 4-Way SLI (Remember Those? )

how aggressive with water are you going to pump in there?

Are you going to keep the cards above the dew point, or go full sub zero on them?  I would imagine you still need to disassemble the cards to waterproof them with some liquid rubber if nothing else.

would be sweet if Plastidip made a spray on space shuttle external tank insulation solution

if it dont stop raining soon (12th straight day here) gonna have to find something for the house!

I'll just worry about any colder settings and PCB Prep after I run all the testing/benching at above Dew point temps first.

I already know from using Phase Change with sub-zero temps on my original single Nvidia GeForce Titan X to Know what precautions to take.

First Fire Strike Bench in Windows 10 Pro using OCN Modded Bios at 1514MHz/2005MHz with Nvidia 353.62 Drivers.
Now Only 47 points lower than my Top 980 Ti Classified Score that was on -16C Phase Change Cooling.

That's awesome!  Glad to see the benching machine alive and well again.  Those TitanX's are really doing well for you too.  I love seeing a water loop and 20c at the highest when benching, just awesome!

Thanks Dave, This Build all started when I noticed the Titan X's were always running Too Hot on just Air Cooling, But They do run very well using Chilled Water Cooling during Benching Loads.

It came to a point where I just HAD to go back to the Full-Blown GM200 Titan X after comparing it to All the 980 Ti reference and non-reference PCB cards that I've been testing on Air, Water and Phase Change Cooling which frequently ended in some rather disappointing Futuremark Scores whether I was running Single or 4-Way SLI for Benching purposes.

Knowing Nvidia will probably Never release a 980 Ti with the Titan X Chip using either Air OR Water Cooling, I decided to go with some Titan X Hydro Coppers for my new 4-Way SLI Build because I think they'll work better with my Systems!

Yes, I'll have to admit that so far the 1X Titan X HC is Benching very well.
Once the other three arrive (Hopefully before this weekend) then more testing will be done in 4-way SLI.

Sounds good, looking forward to seeing the pics of it in action.  How cold can you keep 4 running at under load?  That is a lot of wattage and heat to dissipate.  Or does your chiller have a lot of unused overhead?

Don't know exactly how this Old Original 5000 BTU A/C Chiller Conversion I made YEARS Ago in 2008 for my GTX 295 Quad-SLI setup will do trying to maintain/hold low temps with these HC's yet, But the good thing is if it isn't cold enough I can always build a Bigger Chiller by going down to Walmart and buy a 10,000 BTU A/C for a few hundred $$$ and make another conversion! LOL

Oh cool (literally), it's a frankenchiller!  Is it the really ghetto type with the condenser sitting in an igloo filled with antifreeze?  I was thinking before it was one of those enclosed models like what they sell at Performance PC's.

Yep, A/C Conversion with the Condenser in an Igloo filled with antifreeze using a submersible Pond Pump with a high flow rate using 1/2" flexible tubing.

Has Always worked great and didn't cost $1400 - $1500 like the Performance PC Water Chillers.
You've seen the Pic in my Mods Rigs, Right? It is just one of a few Chiller "Monsters" I have created, including one that I converted from a 5 Cu Ft. Deep Freezer that REALLY went Sub-Zero which unfortunately I don't have any more.

I think I remember watching that setup being built from your build log you did here way back when.
Unlike some of the igloo chillers, at least yours has a lid lol.

Well, It HAS to have a lid to totally insulate the Cooler or it would be thermally insufficient at reaching very cold temps.

I usually run just above the Dew Point to prevent condensation on not only the tubing, But also the Water Blocks on any of the Graphics Cards I have used now or in the past.

Yeah, I have run sub-zero before with the lines/Water Blocks COVERED with Ice, But the Extra few lower temps weren't worth all the trouble. It is like using an DICE/LN2 Pot with No Insulation and That's Not Much Fun at All!

Well, it should always have a lid, doesn't mean I haven't seen pics of people leaving it open lol, and I would imagine it would still get fairly cold.

Since you keep it just above the dew point, is it controlled by a thermostat, or some type external controller?  If you go to Sears and get one of the BIG units, like 16k BTU (biggest window size I have seen there) and used that, how far below zero do you think you could get and would it be sustainable, or would that be running quickly into the same issues you have run into with Phase in the past?

I have thought off and on about running a chiller, so now is as good a time as any to ask questions

If you look in my Mods Rigs Pic of the Chiller, you will see that there is an adjustable mechanical thermostat (top left on top of the Condenser) I have wired into the circuitry that cycles the compressor to control the temperature.
The original A/C control panel (Bottom left in the Pic) is still used to start/stop and adjust Condenser Fan Speeds.

As I mentioned before in the previous post, There's not a problem of getting sub-zero and maintaining those temps under load, It's just going through all the necessary preparation (ESPECIALLY with Full Cover Water Blocks) to insulate all the hoses and Graphics Card PCB's that becomes a PITA, Which is why I run just above the Dew Point temps in my Home Central A/C Controlled Benching Room!

Even when I was using Phase Change Cooling on ONLY the GPU on my previous Nvidia Titan X and EVGA 980 Ti Classified, I still eventually after long operating periods had water/condensation issues around the Evaporator Housing where I had to dismantle it from the Card to remove water build-up.

Yeah, it's right there, hidden in plane sight lol.

I was asking about sustaining sub zero and how far below more from Kingpins post a while back talking about Maxwell and how it goes WAY better when running subzero for clock/voltage scaling.  Makes sense though that a full cover block would be a major PITA for a subzero, never though of that actually.  There would be lots of places for water to pool up back there.

Kingpin is Right about attaining much higher Clocks and voltage scaling at sub-zero temps as I have shown in my tests running my previous Nvidia "Vanilla" Titan X at -16C on Phase Change where I could run Benchmarks at 1574MHz/2005MHz on it and Also my previous EVGA 980 Ti Classified at 1590MHz/2005MHz.

Before that, Neither of these Cards would come CLOSE to Benching at 1500MHz even on +10C Chilled Water Cooling.

Once again, It's fairly easy to get high Clocks on sub-zero temps IF you want to go through all the condensation prevention prep to Do So!

Finally almost finished with the 4X Titan X Hydro Copper Install and Now in the process of running Leak Tests on the Chiller/Hoses/Water Blocks until I'm Positive everything is nice and tight.

Should be starting initial testing sometime this weekend......

I Know I Have to concentrate on finishing some other projects for the weekend I need to get out of the way, But Just had to try a Quick Test using Fire Strike Extreme that actually surprised me.

Even though I moved to #10 Position FSX HOF, There are STILL quite a few "Bugs" in this new System Build I have to look into hopefully sometime this weekend before I can continue......

Surprised your graphics score didn't beat mine with clocks like that.

Yeah, I saw that too, But like I stated in my previous post that was the first run ever with this new setup and I think there are some driver problems.
I'm going to try some older drivers later just for comparison.
