I bought a GTX970 SSC from another user about a month ago, all good until the other day I suddenly got red blocks all over the screen.
I did some troubleshooting to confirm it was a problem with the card.
I contacted evga, they said fine please start a guest RMA.
I tried that but got a message saying "No shipping details found contact customer support".
So I phoned customer support in Germany, the guy on the phone said no problem I will raise a ticket for you so you can start an RMA.
A few hours later I again try to start a guest RMA with the same error message.
So I though the guy on the phone raised a ticket, maybe I need a standard RMA.  I log onto that process and in the middle of the screen is a ticket number.  I figured this is what the evga chap has set up for me so I start the RMA, and raise another question to say I don't have the invoice for the card, as started all the way through the process.
A little while later my RMA has been approved, please return the card.  Great, happy days, I pop the card in the post to Germany with the RMA label.
Next day I get a message saying my RMA has been cancelled, the guest RMA process will be working again soon, start again with that.
For me that is now too late as the card is already in the post.
So what on earth do I do now??
Is my card going to do a round trip to Germany, so I'll have to pay to get it shipped back, so I can start a guest RMA in order to ship it out again?
I can believe this wasn't all made very clear when I was on the phone to evga.

You will need to call or email EVGA directly to their RMA department during business hours. This is not their tech support, there should be an RMA extension in costumer support. Tell them that your package is in the mail under a canceled RMA number and they will hopefully reopen your RMA upon request.

If this fails to work then it's fine because the RMA number on the package is still archived under your name. Despite how you cannot view it, they still have record of who's RMA it would be.

I hope it works out okay.

Send one to support@evga.com about your situation. They will hopefully get back to you within 24 hours. Make sure you explain the situation and use the email you used for your RMA so they can find you.

I also suspect EVGA support will comment here soon.

Not to sound stupid, how do you get ribbons and what purpose do they serve?

He certainly does deserve a ribbon.
I've just got the email saying my replacement card is on the way.
EVGA are replacing my GTX 970 SSC with a GTX 980 SC.
I can't stop smiling.
Thank you soooooo much.
