Thinking of upgrading. Will I get the full performance out of my 980 ti cards forom the x99micro 2?  Is it even possible to sli them? Will the antec 920 cpu cooler work ? If not can somebody recommend a similar pc cooler. Will my 1000 watt g1 evga psu fit evga micro case? will the case be cool enough for sli build? I know its a lot of questions but I don't have experience with micro builds. Thanks

The X99 Micro 2 is SLI-compatible. You'll use the first and second PCIe slot and both have 16 PCIe lanes, so you'll get the full peformance, if you use a 5930K or 5960X.

As already stated, you'll get the same performance as you would from your average ATX/E-ATX.  You're just limited on how many GPU's you're able to install on such a small footprint.

I can think of either a AIO cooler or a Hyper 212+ CPU cooler if you stick with budgeted air.

Now, for the rest of your answers, that's where you need to do your homework as we can't really assist you in that.  Its up to you on what case you have and how much room you need to figure out you have.  Bring out the measure tape and start measuring.

And regarding dual SLI on the Micro2: If you have a 28 lane 5820K the first GPU will communicate with the CPU at PCIe3 x16, the second at PCIe3 x8. However as PCIe3 x8 still offers plenty of bandwidth the performance difference between the 5930K and 5960K (where GPU2 is at PCIe3x16) is very marginal... maybe a couple of fps, if that.

    Think 2 rev B: Caselabs Magnum SMA8/A | MSI X570 Tomahawk | R7-5800X | G.Skill DDR4 3200 MHz 14-14-14-34 | MSI RTX 3090 Suprim | 2x Samsung 970 Evo 2TB | EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1200 | Dell UP2715K 5K monitor | Twin custom water-cooling loops with Hardware Labs GTX 560 and GTS 480 with D5 pumps and Aquaero 6 XT control

That is true if you're on a single screen but when it comes to multi-screen-high-res setups, it actually adds up.
