Currently in the process of buying two EVGA 980s SC.
 
Has anyone done The Mod on them? Did you ghetto with zips? Use a G10? Which AIO?
 
Just wondering if anyone else has done it!

    I would highly doubt that zip ties in most cases would give enough plate contact pressure to be a good idea for most thermal compounds. It just sounds like a bad idea all around.

    Zip ties are a tried and tested method, highly reliable.

    Thanks. That's actually not a bad price, still more than the AIO + bracket though. And apparently no where in Canada
