Yeah, the entire unit is super easy to install...wasn't sure if he meant the kit or the whole hybrid unit, saying not looking forward to the install...that part took about 5 minutes...the rest...well ya, it took awhile, considering I had to take it out and open it back up again because the pump power wasn't all the way connected in.  Totally worth it though.

Yea, I can't wait because I already have extra screws to do push/pull combo. First thing I'm doing is doing an ASIC test though, lol.

Nice...I didn't do push/pull...temps are at 52 max and that's under heavy gaming and heavy benchmark...most games right at 50c.  It's so nice and quiet.  At least I'm not afraid to take my card apart if I have to RMA it at any point, since I did it twice lol

Honestly I just do it because I like it, not sure why. My corsair H110i GT I have with the two corsair fans then I have to bitfenix spectre pro fans to pull. My case is already loud because of the corsair fans so wasn't a huge deal for me.

The push/pull for the GPU I'm just like, eh why not?

Probably once they sort out stock here and Europe first. If EVGA can't keep them in stock I highly doubt they're going to make sure everybody else has them.

Nope they were instock at PCCG last night for 15 minutes. I snagged one, probably the last one because when my order completed it went to NO ETA on the products page. And then today they reaapeared on PCCG for pre-order with ETA 11/8 so I snagged my second one as a pre-order today!!!

If you quickly check now it's up for pre-order (probably not for long though):

@Lori78, jeez you guys in Europe get ripped off with the price.

@narrn001, $1199? LMFAO those price gougers can go f themselves. People like that I would never ever do business with. I compile a list of those types of sites/sellers and make sure I never spend a penny with them. Newegg doesn't jack up their prices because it's a high demand item, nor does EVGA.

Lol you do realise that is Australian price. 1199 AUD = 886 USD. Still, things are more expensive here in AUS compared to the US.

Still doesn't matter, it's more than what it costs in USD.

So my backorder with Newegg from the 29th is still stuck in back-order hell. Tried to talk to Newegg customer service via their online chat metioning that others have received shipping confirmation from the same batch of back-orders, and I got canned scripted and vague messages along the lines of "we will email you when your order status changes" and "we do not have that particular item available and will not charge you until we have it in inventory". Asked multiple variations on at least some details of the backorder status and I just kept getting the canned responses. No information at all about how many or when the next batch of orders will come in nor how many unfulfilled active backorders are left. You could use the chat log to describe an order for Chairs, Industrial Glue, or Horse Manure and the script would be exactly the same.

*sigh*... so just have to wait I guess.

I'm tired of waiting...  I grabbed the hybrid 980 Ti cooler online last week when Newegg briefly had them in stock, along with an EVGA GTX 980 Ti Superclocked 06G-P4-4992-KR from B&H and a backplate from EVGA.  Yes, I know it's a little bit more expensive, but this gives me more opportunity to make it perfect by working on it myself, plus possibly a higher OC because I am starting with the SC card.  The backplate is not necessarily required but I do like them.

The hybrid card is actually clocked higher than the SC card. I wouldn't expect higher results unless you went with a custom bios. The hybrid out of the box is a more powerful card because of the higher base clock. Granted with the same reference boards it will be a silicone lottery.

Of course, but for overclockers the out-of-the-box clocks are a joke.  What I was saying is the SC version "should" have more OC potential than the non-SC, especially under water.  If not, B&H has a great return policy.

Yeah im agreeing with you. The closest thing to hybrid (Stock no overclocking for both the SC version and Hybrid) is the cooler and the SC card. Both are reference design you lose 40 MHz off the base and boost clock but that is nothing to bat an eye at. Both when overclocked are going to perform the same assuming the same ASIC score.

Haha, thanks, I wasn't sure!

I'm very much looking forward to this experiment.  Of course, by the time I'm done, the actual Hybrid card will be available everywhere, but mine will be more unique!

When in gods name is Amazon getting some? I've been waiting nearly 2 months; ordered on June 8, and still nothing. Summer is going to end by the time I get some.

XPS 420

8 GB DDR2 900 Mhz RAM...
Intel Core 2 Duo 8500?
Unknown AMD GPU(512 MB VRAM)
No name PSU(replaced my old, dead one)
2 500GB Hard Drives... unformatted for 7 years.
Windows Vista; installed W7(Vista didn't detect 8GB of RAM)
2 Disk Drives

So er, only 7 years old!

Honestly this is the problem with back ordering. You have no idea what position you're in and for all you know it could be #200. I would honestly make it a point to order it from EVGA or newegg and then get a refund from amazon. I never back order stuff because of that exact reason.

I have no problem ordering as I'm home during the day so I'll gladly order another one for somebody as long as they make sure I don't lose any money on it. I don't want to profit, not even $1. I just want to make sure that I break dead even. If that's the case I have no problem ordering another one. Also depending on the ASIC of my card I may or may not sell my 980 ti Hybrid when it comes in Thursday.

@Lori78, jeez you guys in Europe get ripped off with the price.

@narrn001, $1199? LMFAO those price gougers can go f themselves.

Lol you do realise that is Australian price. 1199 AUD = 886 USD. Still, things are more expensive here in AUS compared to the US.

Still doesn't matter, it's more than what it costs in USD.

Not really as we earn more in NZ/AUS per year on average.

Numbers don't really mean everything.

True but I don't get why it would be priced higher, but then again I don't pay attention those politics and stuff.
