Thanks for the reply.
I think I have patience to wait for the physical confirmation.
Let's hope for the best :)

Okey. Just noticed I have no patience at all.
Just got note to my mail that there is 980Ti Classified on EVGA store.
So...I ordered it! When I get my hands on it I will tell you if the 780 Classy block fits!

Just ordered a couple of the 980ti Classifieds today. Never thought to check for waterblock availability.
Really hope that EVGA release a block for this.
Reading the previous posts, the 980ti Classified board does look so very similar to the 780ti classified board. As I currently own a couple of 780ti Classified Hydro coppers, I'm very tempted to try fiting them.
Does anyone know if this is possible or are they completely different?

I am currently looking at a EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked ACX 2.0+.  I am limited in space.. so I am looking at only the 10.5" length cards.  I will be watercooling the card, and my choice right now is the XSPC Razor.

Is the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked ACX 2.0+ a reference designed layout with a better fan/heatsink combination?  Or PCB component is laid out differently from the reference design?

Or would I be able to just get the basic model from EVGA 980 TI Reference design or EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked and OC it or the GPU is bin differently?

It's a reference PCB layout with a better air cooler

Sadly EVGA had to cancel my order because of system error. I guess the cards went faster than the system could react so when I ordered there was no cards left anymore. They couldn't say when they get more Classifieds so I just have to wait now.

@ EK_Luc
Are you guys currently working on the waterblock for the 980 Ti K|NGP|N?
I know you are planning to release waterblocks for several custom pcb layouts (e.g. Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming) within the next weeks, but do you have any information about the release date and about if there's going to be a full cover for the K|NGP|N and a backplate?

3 day shipping from their factory in Slovenia is great, and pricing is the same as ordering from Performance. I always order direct from ek now.

I'm worried about shipping plus import taxes ordering from a company in Slovenia.

EDIT: haven't been able to login to Performance PCS website all morning.

I don't get any import taxes or hassle. 7 orders successful so far. Like I said, after shipping, performance and EK prices are nearly identical, since Performance charges more to account for the original shipping to their factory.

I'll give Performance another half hour to let me make an order. After that it's look out Slovenia, here I come! I would like to add the water block to the order I made yesterday but they're not cooperating at the moment. Now I'll have to pay even more shipping. HTTP error 503 is now Error Code 20 so I guess they're making progress.

Performance PC are back up. They had a few issues yesterday obviously. I just ordered a vanilla EK Titan X copper waterblock for my 980Ti ACX. Wanted the nickel but it was out of stock. Not really that much of an issue as I am not able to actually see the block side of my card when it is installed. I also picked up an EK backplate, not that it is needed, however in blue it will look good with my Mayhems pastel berry blue coolent....

I got my parts ordered from Performance PCs but NCIX is sitting on my other waterblock for one of my 980s. Shipping label for UPS was created Friday and it still hasn't budged. I doubt I will be buying anything from NCIX any time soon.

I have not had a lot of luck from NCIX and do not trust Frozen CPU any more. Daz Mode is too expensive, so I'll stick with Performance PC for now. Hope you benefited from the summer discount code of 8% they were offering?

I didn't know about any discount code but 8% would have meant an extra $20 off the total. Too late now. It looks like I'll be eating a lot of beans this month. Daz Mode prices are so outrageous they'll never see any money from me.

Will someone please tell me if the stock EVGA back plates will still work with EK full cover blocks underneath using the same length screws to attach the top back plates to the PCB? Will they need to be slightly longer? They look identical to the Hydro coppers.
I am not using EK back plates just the EVGA that you buy aftermarket from the web shop.

Good news everyone!
EK-FC780 GTX Classy is 100% compatible with 980 Ti Classified.
You can find the news from EKWB News site (cannot add links). It was announced yesterday (10th Aug.)
I will be getting my 980 Ti Classified tomorrow also :)

If you look at the EKWB Thread in the overclocking section, it has been addressed that they are working on that block already.

Hello All,

New to Nvidia and trying to cool off my ti I little more.  I read through the thread but I want to make sure that this 400-HY-0996-B1 fits on 06G-P4-4995-KR with no issue?  Will I need to do anything with the backplate?

Thanks!

Hi again

Got my 980Ti Classified yesterday and connected my EK-FC780 GTX Classy block right after one run in Firestrike with aircooler. Have to say I'm really happy with it! The card has some coil whine but it's unhearable when case is closed. ASIC lottery went decent. I got one with 72% ASIC and with stock bios I already reached 1514 MHz on Core and 8012 MHz on Memory. Temps didn't go much higher than 40C. I will do some tweaking on the bios today and maybe do some testing. For some reason I couldn't raise the voltage with stock bios normally or the readings from GPU-Z were wrong.

I hope you guys get your water blocks soon enough!

ok so if there is a block in the making for the 980 ti kingpin, it should fit the 980 ti classified as well?
