Just curious about the backplates.  They look really awesome, but they don't cool GPU temps at all.  That said, has anyone bought a backplate from these guys?

I would be interested since nobody seems to have the EK backplate that matches my waterblocks. I'm curious about their magnetic attaching solution.

A friend bought a backplate for a video card that was running warm, but have not seen him for a while as our mutual work schedules do not mesh well

+1 on their mounting. They do look nice though.

Does anyone know where they are located or ship from?

It almost looks like it needs a backplate to magnetically attach to unless they have dinky little magnets to stick to the screws. Either way I'm looking for something to support my video boards so they don't start to sag under the weight of the waterblocks. The EK backplates have magically reappeared on their website: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-fc980-gtx-tf5-backplate-black

It was asked that anyone that had ordered from V1 Tech report their experience.  Well I ordered a back plate for a different brand of GPU and after looking and reading more about these back plates I find that they are purely for looks so if you want pretty not useful buy one of theirs.  They are made of Vinyl or something similar and use magnets to attach.  They will not act as a heat sink nor will they help with sagging.  This companies Customer Service is non existent, I contacted them twice to cancel this order and didn't here anything back until it was shipped and then it was just a notification  that it was shipped.  So now I will have a $40 piece of useless junk.  If they would have answered and canceled the order I would have no problem with them, but as I said they have no Customer service and won't even take the time to respond to your emails unless of course you want to buy something.
I will be putting this one on eBay as soon as it arrives and recover what I can.  I will never buy from them again and certainly would never buy from them again!
So if I were you and want anything other than pretty I would stay far away from this Company and anything they sell.

they do good work and they look nice but they are made from a plastic materiel and will not aid in cooling or sagging, i actually thought about getting one from them but decided not to. i did just order the MB tray full cover for my case from them.
