I'm waiting for the EU re-stock! Tomorrow is my birthday and when I realized that I wasn't able to buy the card I fell in a hole of sadness.
Next week?

Just don't do anything drastic! I have seen other people spend years in therapy for these kinds of traumatic events in their life. LOL

Ahahahahah I hope mate

Oh I see now, in the website it shows "€929.99" for the cheapest one available equivalent to £658.91. Its £18.91 more expensive than the price I paid (each) for my 2 Hybrids.

I sure hope I won't be ask for extra payment for VAT if I buy from the UK >_>.

Well - using the flash tool and hex file from here: http://www.evga.com/articles/00521/
results in a 'Failed" message when trying to apply voltage.  I also tried to use the tool from  here: http://forums.evga.com/EVBot-GPU-Flasher-1002-m1737632.aspx#1737632

and the device is not supported.

A little help please?

paypal wasn't an option or I'd have a 76% it only had credit card payment available
evga seriously you should have done preorders like with the 980KPE... there are alot of people in the LN2 community who wanted these.
glad I didn't get one though. too much money

its funny the people that buy these cards usually won't even go subzero... Vince himself came into the thread on OCN to say that people who weren't gonna freeze these would be better off buying a classified.. I mean you can get a descent asic without paying for it.

but seriously this card doesn't have any seeable improvements for 99% of you guys over a classified.

kudos to EVGA for creating a market where they can ucharge for nonguaranteed performance. I mean yall bending over backwards and in bold they say that asic is no guarantee for performance and to be used as a reference.

hell even the ln2 users have no use for an 80% asic card, all the best freezes are at 74% and 77% according to someone who actually has been through enough of these to know

I totally agree with your point of view but I was the one who was seriously thinking about buying two of these and use stock cooling, because:

-it's one of best looking card on the market and that really matters for some people
-very universal design
-custom rgb led, so you can adjust it to any build
-memory oc out of the box (using oc bios)
-better components that in theory means longer lifespan
-premium package, t-shirt - always something pleasant
-probably little lower temperatures than classifieds
-less chance for coil whine
-flagship

In the opossite site its just a waste of possibilities that this special card gives you.
I decide to choose Classifieds only because I don't see copper in my build, too much power cords and price difference doubled by the fact I wanted sli.

thanks for the reply.  I do not have an EVGA mother board... but never needed one for any classified GPU including 780Ti C, 780Ti KPE (6), 980 KPE.  I suspect either the flash tool or hex posted by EVGA are borked.  Or my evbot is, however it worked fine anot long ago with SLI 980 kingpins.

You have a point. People will indeed waste money on the KPE Flagship edition if they are buying it and not using LN2 on it while gaming. Imagine playing Witcher 3 in 4K and constantly stopping to fill the pot with LN2.

Alright Joking aside.

Vince indeed have a point regarding what he said on OCN. But frankly, if they made the card for only OC'ing with LN2, then why bother strapping the copper cooler on it?, why bother putting 3 bios on it? Its true that they did indeed strap a huge price tag. But these types of cards are what some people LN2 user or not "wants". Because no other Brand of GPU are offering them the way EVGA offer's the KPE even Asus's DCUIII imho only comes second to the KPE. But ye if its just for LN2, they might as well just sell it without the copper air cooler smh...

Ya'll seem to be mad because of the pricing and whatever other reasons you hating EVGA...

Some people like me who work my a** off is looking for this type of cards :P, And I had from the past the 780 Ti KPE 2 way SLi. We buy them cause these are the cards we look for, the "FlagShip" with the best of the best features/components.  But to you its more of like , IT is only for LN2 users, other people should stay away!.

The world doesn't revolve around LN2. LoL.

But ye Just saying.

It is just like people who buy $1000 dollar pair of shoes and they just keep them in a box and never use them, or a $2000 female Bag that they rarely use or a $5 000 000 Hyper Car but rarely goes to the track and usually just going around the Main City streets at 20mph and spends most of its time in a high end Garage.

If you catch my drift.

But as always, when a company does something wrong, People whine... But when the same company find a fitting solution to it, People whine "again".. smh.

don't wanna spark anything, Just saying.

There will be plenty more to go around soon! It was posted both here and at kingpin cooling that this "first supply" was very limited and that more will be available in 1-2 weeks. I am sure EVGA will get them out as soon as they can so we can all give them our moneys$$$$$$$$

Shortened for brevity reasons only.

don't wanna spark anything, Just saying.

Simply putting a cooler on it, because people will buy it not knowing what it is meant for and they can't ship it without a cooler.  The cooler is meant for testing prior to LN2 overclocking and then it is meant to be removed.

This is also why the heat spreader on the KPE cards is in two sections, with the VRM having it's own heat plate.  The VRM heatplate is needed to cool theVRM, even with the LN2 pot attached, where the memory will be sufficiently chilled by the LN2 pot itself.  No other Card from EVGA currently comes with the split heat plate for a reason.  The Classified SHOULD be outfitted with the same style plate, but so is life, it is a single piece that is cut in two when LN2 cooling, or an old plate is used so the new ones don't need to be chopped up.

just some geewhiz info I have learned from the awesome Overclockers I have bumped into along the way.

Is anyone else having trouble with the LEDs? They keep turning off for about a second and back on again sporadically.

Have you changed the LEDs off of Demo Mode 4 in Precision?

I have switched from Demo Mode to static Illumination In Precision X, but it also happens with "GPU Temp".

Support told me it's likely to be a hardware issue, but I'm not sure because I'm not the only one with this problem.

Hmm ive never done the GPU temp mode so I dont know what the LED behavior should be. But if they turn off at all under static then that is incorrect behavior.

My two do it as well.

I also had the same thing happen with my kpe 980's and I never found a solution, or what caused it to happen.

I doubt that. If the cooler was purely for "Testing", why would they try so hard to put a top end cooler on it? (since its only adding to the price). Then there are the bios's. And just because it was designed for overclocking it doesn't really mean that its not good for any other. Specially the fact that most games or programs get a boost in performance when paired with a higher clocked (stock or overclocked) GPU Core Clock.

And then the main thing. If it was purely for "Overclockers, LN2 users what not". Why sell it to the masses? Oh I know the reason looking at the prices. But there are people there who search for this type of cards LN2 user or not.

But with you and other people? All I can see are "LN2 Warriors". Kinda the same as the youtube warriors with a very shallow mind. And they just insult people calling them "kids" (ye I saw your other post pushing your ideals), because either you can't buy the cards yourself, or the cards are apparently too good that they should only be sold to LN2 users derp. So far what I notice in the EU market, most are buying out the 72% one's. If they are "true" LN2 overclockers they should buy the 80% . Last (3) times the 72% one's sold out in mere 1-3 minutes, whilst the 74% took a good 15-20 mins (3 occasions on EU EVGA).

I don't really get why you and the other people who acts like you have to be salty towards people who wants to buy KPE. If they can buy it, leave them be. no need to  act like an immature kid.

And you talk like you know alot about "PC's". But checking your Rig, you can't even do a decent Hard tubing Build. If you suck  at it (which I think you do) might as well go with Soft Tubing. Looks like you just spend a boat load of cash on the build, then suck at doing hard tubing loop. Your making the "Real Hard Tubing enthusiast" look bad with that ugly hard tubing loop. You should stop using Hard Tubing and let the people who can do better do it.

^hurts right? That's me being a "Hard Tubing Warrior". Thats how you look like when your being all "LN2 Warrior".When you say "Only Let the people who overclock to the moon with LN2 buy KPE's", and call everyone who can afford a 1k+ card (but not an LN2 user) a Kid.

Just my 2cents.

But its unavoidable. Forums will always have people like you. I have seen worst forums, but I am pretty curious how people's brains like yours work. Or its just a typical case of Reasoning, intelligence and Logic overtaken by Ego. An Egotistical person.

LOL, your 2 cents are comical. I like your attempt to bother me.

Yes, my hard tubing was a mess. It was my first time using it, and I am sure that you were an expert the very first time you tri3d something. Wait.. You were weren't you?

Ln2 warriors? Lol. You are a funny individual. No, these cards aren't going to be sold to only ln2 users. You asked a question and I gave an answer, and you seem to have applied a lot of butt hurt paste, so please continue to try to insult me, because I don't get bothered by it.

I happen to enjoy building with custom pcb cards. I find it more fun than reference, because I like the size of the card. When I am done with them, I will try them with extreme cooling, but my first cards were purchased with the mindset that if it had higher stock clocks and costed more, it had to be better. I quickly learned that they aren't better, since reference cards on air perform the same as custom cards on air.

If that makes you mad, go cry in a corner. I don't care about your feelings and seeing that you seemed to be pretty upset that I answered your question, I will smile at your sad attempt to attack my initial hard tubing adventure, because you seem to think you matter.. You don't :-) please feel free to share your rig... Or.. Are you too embarrassed? I would actually like to see yours, since you seem to want to be very judgemental.. Let's see your expertise... You seem to think my first attempt makes me "a real hard tube enthusiast...." LOL!

Wait... I just thought about this.. The cheaper card sells faster than the more expensive...... What a strange concept... Ha.. When the cheaper card runs out, THEN the more expensive sells.. Who would have ever guessed?

I don't discourage anyone from buying what they want. I only want people to know what they are buying instead of buying and then finding out that it may have been no better than stock. If that makes you mad.. Lol. That's all I can say.

As for the "I saw you in the other thread....." ok? Your point?

I have switched from Demo Mode to static Illumination In Precision X, but it also happens with "GPU Temp".

Support told me it's likely to be a hardware issue, but I'm not sure because I'm not the only one with this problem.

Hmm ive never done the GPU temp mode so I dont know what the LED behavior should be. But if they turn off at all under static then that is incorrect behavior.

I have turned off all leds but it is flashing blue randomly sometimes, weird.

My card is blinking now...
