Very Nice Hallowen!

Thanks Scarlet, It was about time to sell them, Especially since I couldn't go any higher on GPU voltage.

Pgcmoore
congrats on selling the Ti's Halloween, looking forward to seeing what the new KPE's can do

Thanks Pgcmoore,
After I found out about Vince's New Statement about the ASIC percentages of the New Maxwell series cards is opposite of what I interpreted he stated before, I am thinking just getting either a 980 Ti Classified, a 980 Ti Classified Kingpin, or Maybe even another Brand 980 Ti and put it under SS Phase Change or slap my New TEK-9 Fat 6.0 with DICE cooling to achieve the results according to Kingpin's statement on 07/02/15 post#57.

22 to 6, that's quite a range, but with what you told me about her, I can definitely see it.

Well, You have to know that the 22 MPG was achieved on a Trip at 65 -70MPH with the AOD locked in Fourth gear just cruising and taking it easy on the Loud pedal.
Once you get ON it and hear those Twin Turbos  & Supercharger spin-up and start singing sweetly, You don't care WHAT kind of MPG you are getting!

And after doing numerous modifications all these years with close to $115K invested (So Far), I can see no future plans to part with Her.

Obviously, the car I told you about, about 15 open road, and 5 if I'm on it..... so I feel ya, but it is nice to know that in cruise control+OD you can actually take it somewhere as you aren't getting gallons per mile.
You should use the sound of your Super+Turbos spooling as an alarm sound.....I know that would have me waking up with a smile.

I know you won't same as me, BUT, still doesn't make me want it even less.  Shame I am not close by, I would bribe you for a ride  :)

Couldn't take being at stock anymore, threw on a quick 4.3GHz. Shooting for a 24/7 4.8GHz like on my old i7 960. Working on figuring out why my RAM won't run 2400MHz currently..

Alright!, Great seeing you getting back into it again.
Hopefully you'll have more leisure time available to continue like before.

Good to see you back, also, your IMC must have been golden if you are getting anywhere near 4.8 AND 2400 at the same time on a 960, or are you going subzero with SS or something?

Unfortunately I doubt that will be the case, I have 2 more years of college left and am adding a minor as well this fall. The nice thing is I will in theory be taking classes that are more oriented towards my major and minor now because I finished my Associate's degree this year so my general classes are wrapped up finally.

To make things even more interesting I am in the midst of exploring the possibility of launching a company right after college so I am in the midst of all the market research and competition analysis now working on my business plan, and working part time on top of that.

It is a bad ass chip. I bought it binned from a bencher, it was binned out of a pretty large batch if I remember... The IMC is seriously impressive,

It's the top WC chip on hwbot still too lol. http://hwbot.org/submission/2237488_halo_003_cpu_frequency_core_i7_960_5136.45_mhz
It also set a wprime time that I STILL have not beaten, on a stripped down OS but that should just tell you how key the OS can be for CPU OC's. http://hwbot.org/submissi...core_i7_960_4sec_937ms

I have it now at 105MHz x43 stable so far

I would also like to put this chip on DICE at some point and see what it can do. I can easily boot with bclk set to 106MHz so I think 107MHz should be doable. It's important because if it can do 107MHz it can do 132MHz as well, which would put it right around the top 3 on hwbot for frequency. I won't get to go subzero on it this summer, but at some point I would like to. I still have my CPU and GPU pots so I just need the time to take the rig apart and do it.

Re:Get It Colder......2 2015/07/30 13:55:04 (permalink)
I Think I've been spending WAY too many hours lately sitting at my Computer looking for the "Latest and Greatest" Components to appear that for whatever reasons are put up for purchase for less than two minutes and then instantly only show the "Auto-Notify" sign before you can finish checking out!

After wearing out my keyboard F5 key (not to mention my fingers and my sanity) trying and failing to purchasing at least ONE of the new KPE's in any of the four available(?) ASIC's, I can see where the odds of me personally being able to purchase Four of them (even one at a time) in the same ASIC "range" for a possible 4-Way SLI setup would be Literally Little to None.

But As Fate would have it, I now have decided to go a slightly different route in setting up again for 4-Way Benching on my R5E Rig due to the fact that I somehow managed to purchase Four of these instead.........

The Big Plus about this for me is Not having to find/buy separate Water Blocks anymore, Plus no more disassembling the Air Cooler/installing the Water Block and then re-assembling the Air Cooler on them again when I decide to either sell them or return them for any possible RMA's.

I Think it Should make for another interesting Benching Rig Build, Along with Later on switching from Phase Change over to using my Dragon F1 Pot with DICE again and even the possibility getting a "Golden" 5960X Chip that I am presently waiting on.

LOL, Thanks Man.

I'll just say Price Wise it was "A Little Bit More than I bargained for", But then these were never very inexpensive cards to begin with!

Also it took me a little while to find them from Three different sources (including the ONLY One that became available on the EVGA Product Page today that I happen to be browsing on) and somehow I managed to find what I needed.

The First one will be here tomorrow so I'll be busy re-tubing my Chiller System back to 1/2" hose and then I can do a little testing and get some pics. I'll still have to wait for the other three which will probably arrive sometime Next week.

Fortunately (by some miracle) I did manage to find and purchase a third EVGA Titan X Hydro Copper last night, But I STILL need to buy the Fourth card that coincidently is now available AGAIN in the EVGA Products Page.
Unfortunately since I just bought one today from there, I have to wait until tomorrow when EVGA opens at 9:00am PST until they let me buy another one since they only allow "one per household" per day, provided it's still there for sale tomorrow!

Jezzzzz......Sometimes I think the Strain is almost too much to bear when you are trying to get what you want.

Thanks Man, It's been a Long Night for me, But This Morning I managed to find and purchase the fourth Card (Last one I needed) from Newegg.
NOW all I have to do is wait for the Refund for the First two to show up in my Paypal Account in order to pay for this one and HOPEFULLY that will End this Merry-go-round Debacle.

edit: wouldn't want to be around you when the KPE's pop up at the same time...

At This Point, I...Really...Don't...Care...Anymore , because if they Did "pop up", this would probably be more than likely what would happen:

(#1) The KPE's would finally become available for purchase, But again Probably For Less than Two Minutes, (#2) Miraculously I would somehow manage to find FOUR of them in the same ASIC% (Not very Likely), (#3) The Order(s) I made to EVGA would attempt to go through, But the Product Page Website would go down JUST as I was Almost finishing the purchases, And (#4), I STILL would Then have to find FC Water Blocks that would FIT the KPE's, PROVIDED they were available to purchase at the time I needed them!

That scenario Just would Not be Worth it to me, Which is the reason I was buying the Four Titan X Hydro Coppers to begin with, Which incidentally ends up being LESS $$$$ than buying Four KPE's plus another Four FC Water Blocks THAT ARE NOT EVEN BEING MADE AVAILABLE OR PRICED YET as stated 6 days ago by EK_Luc.

EK_Luc
Still no news about the 980 Ti KPE sorry.

OK, This Morning after yesterday and last night's Fiasco, Everything seems to be fixed as far as purchasing all Four Hydro Coppers I needed for my new 4-Way SLI setup (Thank God ).

Moving on, I Just received the First card this morning and took a few pics. I'll try and show some initial testing results once I get everything set up on my Chilled Water System.

how aggressive with water are you going to pump in there?

Are you going to keep the cards above the dew point, or go full sub zero on them?  I would imagine you still need to disassemble the cards to waterproof them with some liquid rubber if nothing else.

LOL, Yes Nate, I'm running as usual ATM Below the Dew Point for now.

Just for initial Testing, The Chiller Temps are set at +10C to see how the HC's operate at Stock Settings.

Third Fire Strike Test with the same previous Bench settings, Only THIS time changed Nvidia Drivers from 353.30 that was the Lowest I could use with my EVGA 980 Ti Classified (or Any Other 980 Ti series card I have tested), To an Older Driver 350.05 which made a BIG difference in Fire Strike Scores and allowing higher values on Precision X with K-Boost, Which was Just Like I knew they would!

Let me show you a Comparison of the SMALL differences in Fire Strike Scores I've seen so far between my Full-Blown GM200 EVGA Titan X Hydro Copper on +10C Chilled Water Cooling with the Stock BIOS running at 1495MHz/2005MHz and my Previous "Gimped" GM200 EVGA 980 Ti Classified's HIGHEST Score I could obtain using an XOC Modded BIOS on -17C Sub-Zero Phase Change Cooling running at 1590MHz/2000MHz.

As You can see, There is Only a 257 Point Difference, and I haven't even used a Modded Bios on the Titan X Hydro Copper or even pushed it hard Yet! LOL, LOL, LOL!

Thanks, I just KNEW from my previous tests with an Air Cooled Titan X that I needed that Unaltered GM200 Chip, Not even to mention the 12GB Memory. I don't even care that it's just a reference card PCB!

After I went over my testing/benching scores with numerous 980 Ti setups I tried, I was getting very disappointed with those results, So I decided to make a change......
