Top Gear trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have signed to present a new car show on the Amazon Prime streaming service in one of the biggest coups in TV history.

The programme will air for the first time next year and be produced by former Top Gear executive Andy Wilman, an old school friend of Clarkson’s who is credited with revamping the format and turning it into the world’s most successful factual TV show.

 
BBC loss is Amazon gain.

    Sounds similar to when Howard Stern moved to satellite radio. This move should free the content and creativity from the constraints that terrestrial airwaves continue to put on things. Can't wait.

    That seems like a weird pairing up for Amazon ....... i guess everybody is trying to make a hit show now-a-days

    That's awesome!!  I love those guys...  I like the US Top Gear, but The European Top gear is waaaay better in my opinion... which is all that matters.

    Just purchased Prime Student for $50 a year this morning. This makes it worth it.
