Why do I see raised boost clocks (~1200mHz) on my stock 980Ti purely by opening the app at its default settings i.e 100% power target? That was unexpected.
 
EDIT: Just uninstalled Precision, and checked with GPU-Z and my card is still peaking at 1200MHz?? The default Boost clock is 1076MHz.




 
GPU boost 2.0..  read up on it.. too many people buying expensive cards with no idea what they are capable of..

Can OSD be disabled for other programs I use classic media player for movies and my camera video recordings but it crashes MPC which is annoying.

I'm using latest version EVGA Precision x16 and it bugs on Battle.net app. Windoes 8.1 64x
It makes Bnet launcher crash, and if you manage to join the game (Heroes of the Storm) before that happens, it doesn't show the mouse cursor.
There are more people reporting this problem in bnet forums. But well I guess this forum is the right place to do it.
 
This happens with OSD on or off.
 
And it doesn't help to add the bnet executables on the Precision server list

 I'm having problems getting Precisionx 16 to load up. I've tried everything I can think of. It was working just fine yesterday. I've reinstalled it It seems to still be working just not booting up.
Anybody have any ideas?

I was using the Precision 16 5.3.5 but had a lot of issues. First I wasn't able to save the monitoring settings. Seconding, even when the OSD is turned on, it fails to work. I decided to download the version 5.3.2 and everything seems to be fine at the moment.

Download speeds are incredibly slow... an average of 22.5kb/s from Mirror 1, lol come on guys.
 
Also to anyone having OSD problems, you might be interested in installing Riva Tuner software, it works well for me!

I'm noticing something odd. I've been using this program for awhile, just as a monitor but after I updated the program last Thursday (23 July) I found two of my games freezing for some reason. I could sometimes hear background noises within the games but the image would be stuck at something and it wasn't updating to show any changes.
 
As soon as I closed this program the games didn't freeze up and would work as they did before I updated the program.

I've been using EVGA Precision X for a long time and ever since the recent updates, my games keep on freezing, stuttering, fps-dropping, and crashing. The two prime games that crash are CS:GO and GTA V.
 
For CS:GO, whenever I get into a game, it crashes and a message that says "Engine Error Cannot Create Windows Font 'Courier New'" pops up. This problem happens every time and many people are experiencing it.
For GTA V, after about 40 minutes of playing the game, GTA 5 Launcher crashes which then crashes the game since the launcher has to be one at all times when playing the game. 
 
The fix for both of the problems was to exit out of Precision X and run the games. I love using EVGA Precision X but if this problem continues, I'm afraid that I won't be using the program anymore. Please fix this! Thanks.

I use MSI afterburner and CSGO seems to be problem free the few times I have played
I tend to play L4D2 more

Maybe not important to most, but Terraria keeps freezing with the newest update to EVGA Precision on WIN 8.1 64 bit for me

Seeing all of this.. it makes me scared to upgrade to the newest version of precision x and thats the main softeware I rely on for a good fan curve

This software has been crashing all of my games all of a sudden. It crashed Hearthstone, Witcher 3, Dying Light, Arkham Knight, Wolfenstein: Old Blood, Rocket League and Diablo 3. After I uninstalled the newest version for Precision X I have not had a single crash in any of those games. But of course I'm not getting Fan Control or Over Clocking either..... Please fix :(

this software (Deleted for Foul Language) it doesnt work properly at all, the over-clocking is off, it constantly crashes the nvidia driver, probs getting OSD to work, starts up with windows even though its set NOT to. its just a(Deleted for Foul Language)  program. save yourself a lot of pain and suffering by just going and getting msi's afterburner. it works perfect! i dont know why evga even bothers putting this piece of (Deleted for Foul Language) out, because it is absolutely terrible. if you are having any of the problems stated above, dont bother trying to fix it, just uninstall it and get afterburner

This happened to me 2 days ago.
I installed a brand new card and precisions X16 and it told me no supported hardware.  I reinstalled the video card drivers and reinstalled precision x16.  Maybe gave it a reboot and it started working.

Since version 5.3.5  noticed witcher 3 process doesn't close after quitting the game.  This doesn't happen with msi's afterburner.

Hello all. I am using Precision X Hardware Monitor (always running) to keep tabs on my 970 (I am a bit of an information snob, so to speak), and I guess I am not fully understanding all of the parameters offered by the monitor. Most of them are pretty self-explanatory, but the few I am lacking a full understanding of are FB Usage and Memory Usage... My assumption was that the FB Usage stood for Frame Buffer usage, but then what would Memory Usage be for? The part that confuses me most, is that my usage goes above the 4,096MB (currently using 1,792MB with just Chrome and a few other apps running - Though I do have many hundred Chrome tabs open) that is on the card, but since I have 32GB of RAM in my system, and I am using ~10GB right now, it couldn't possibly be system memory... and since the ~4% FB Usage does not correlate to the ~45% Memory Usage reported, they obviously are not reporting the same thing...

I have done some searching to try to find out what they mean, but it seems that the Google is failing me... I found a couple of posts that mention it, but alas, nothing that actually says what it is, and mostly people just asking the same thing with no real answers...
