I recently brought a new 970 because my old card broke. However, I've been getting an annoying problem with this card. When I browse the web or watch a video, I would occasionally get black flashes for 1-2 seconds and then the display will come back on. This happens 3-4 times a day. I have no pop ups stating driver crash or anything. This actually doesn't happen when I am gaming at all. I can play a whole GW2 session of 5 hours and have it not occur, but once I go back to web surfing it will flash. When I check the event logs, it states an error with the livekernelevent.

System Specs:
ASUS P8P67 PRO (Rev 3.1)
Corsair TX650M
i5-2500
8GB Ram
1TB HDD
Antec 1200 Case

I read a post somewhere stating conflicting issues with monitoring programs and the drivers. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the monitoring programs (afterburner, cpuid, asus fan control, etc), along with a reinstall of Nvidia drivers with DDU.  The problem went away for like 10 days. Then, I got a prompt to update cpuid a few days ago and as expected after the update to 1.28, the black flashes came back. Funny thing is that this black screen flashes first occurred after I installed precision 2 days after I got the card.
I've yet to do a complete reinstall of the monitoring programs because the problem is avoidable for now; only did a reinstall of cpuid since the problem came back after that specific update and the nvidia drivers. This didn't seem to work. I would really hate to have to do this complete fiasco of reinstalling everything every time something updates.
