Interesting. I will do run benches on mine in the next couple days when I get a chance to do the upgrade on my machines at home.

If I'm looking at it right, it also appears you ran a lower resolution on the Win10 test.  1080 for Win7, 720 for Win10??

I don't believe you'll see much difference in actual game play. You might find that your game loads a little bit faster but until DX12 games come out performance between the two operating systems for gaming should be almost the same. With Windows 10 you'll have only a small performance advantage.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

That was the conclusion I came to when comparing Win7 to Win10 with DX11 games...

This is what I figured. I was very surprised to see OP with such improvement. Hardware changes explains it.

Well I've don my first round of testing. But I'm still waiting for my 10 upgrade to be live on my home PC's. Laptop updated, but the home machines don't have the notice. But the upgrade icon is gone from the task bar now.

Skip the line, go to https://www.microsoft.com...-download/windows10ISO
Click on the link, select 32 or 64. When done just launch the tool and in about 35-45 minutes you will be on windows 10.
    Have fun.

I'm sure somebody has run some benchmarks although I didn't see any sense in doing it myself since I'm gimping along on only one video board until my RMA replacement gets back on Thursday.

No GPU benches yet because I haven't been around to do them. But here is my Windows 7 vs 10 on my X99 and Z87 systems on the Overhead API test.

    X99 with a 5930K

    Z87 with a 4670K

Results are kind of weird when I compare them to what seth had.

I want to load 10, but it will not give me the option. It just keeps saying that I will be alerted when it is ready.

    Count your blessings.

Are you going to post your benchmarks Zuhl?

scarlet you can google "download windows ten" and on the MS page you can download a tool to upgrade without waiting. Takes about 45 mins to download and install windows.
