I think this would be a great thing to make that is unique to eVGA.  I have 2 970 FTW+s and always thought about going 3 way SLI, but one of the reasons why I haven't yet is because of the 3way SLI spacing.  All of the 3way SLI bridges don't have any free slots between and the cards can get hot.  Most of our motherboards have enough PCI-E slots for 4 way SLI, or also enough for 3 video cards with a single slot between each.  I think this would help those that do 3way SLI on air coolers so the cards can breathe much better.

Anyone else think this would be a good idea for 3way SLI?

You can just buy a 3 way and use that, or if need be unsoder the pins in the middle. I did that for the original pro 3way.

Whoops...misread post and linked to the 'long' version of the 2-way bridge.
