I don't know if many of you know the INs and OUTs of Gsync, but I was curious to know if GSync has any benefits with movies as far as like "Amazon Prime" or Netflix, perhaps blu rays? I can't really say that I did any "digging" of any kind, but would rather hear your expertise.

Let me know, please. Thanks.

movie are shot in a static FPS, I think 24 or 28. I don't see how Gsync will help it since it is static.

it may help in the same way some tvs have a 1080/24p "movie" setting, so instead of running as 60hz (or whatever Gsync defaults too outside of 3d games, on the desktop and what-not) it might be able to set itself to 24hz, to match the film/video framerate.

Granted, that would mean that the movie would have to be streamed and decoded into 24fps, something I'm guessing isn't done by default in for most streaming services/video players.

by changing the refresh rate of the screen to 48 hz instead of 60 hz to get rid of 4/3 pull down stutter?
I have not done any looking, but yea variable refresh when purchasing a 60hz (120/144 are non issues with 24fps films) would be a great feature for movies.
