Well it's the end of Q1.

My venerable G5 is still ticking, and I have a brand new one in reserve..., but of course there's been no software update in years, and there won't ever be one again...., and the software is buggy.

So, I may be looking for something to take over the G5's duties..., this might do the trick.

Ever since the shakeup in their motherboard division a while back this has been their new mantra. Announce cool stuff, announce release date then delay as much as possible then release a product that's hopefully going to be great out of the box.

A few years back the head of the motherboard division left for Asus and as a result a good chunk of the team left.

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up. Tbh, I was looking to buy EVGA motherboards, but you can't find them anywhere in Belgium. They simply don't sell it here. A shame, because I love the quality EVGA puts on the market.

Won't be getting it.. Love EVGA boards and Vid cards... I can't live without side scrolls on a mouse after having Logitech G700... 2 extra buttons I use all the time in games.  Also.. Might think about a wireless version... this is the year 2014! lol

What happened to the optical mouse? I would love to get a Torq, but I use cloth mouse-pads which are not the best suited for laser mice. Also need classified variant lol.

Now bring on the keyboard EVGA. Get some of those MX RGB.

There is no actual listed dimensions of the mouse could anyone from EVGA list them or something. I know I won't ever find a "real" mouse that actually fits my huge hands(9.25") but if this is at least as big as a logitech G5 with the height adjustment it maybe more usable for me.  Since my G5 died I have been unable to find a mouse that comes close to the fit and feel of it that actually works for me.

Jacob, can we save profiles to the mouse, so we can take with and not use software on a local pc?

Nice review.

Question, will we be able to disable the the right side thumb click buttons if we are a right hander so we don't accidentally click them?

Re: EVGA TORQ Gaming Mouse 2015/07/22 10:25:18 (permalink)
Question.  Hopefully someone can help.  I have the Raza Naga mouse and it has 12 numbered buttons on the side that correspond to, in my case when playing say Battlefied, various weapons.  These numbered buttons allow me to switch between weapons (i.e. rifle to handgun to grenade) quickly without having to spin the center wheel.  Can anyone tell me how this mouse accomplishes this (i.e switching between weapons quickly on the fly)?  I'd appreciate any help as I am interested in this mouse.

Thanks...Al
