Amazon give you a return label with tracking number to print out. As soon as that tracking number updates to say it has been picked up by UPS, Amazon processes the refund - that's how it always works for me anyway. Appears to be an automated process. Maybe it's only for Prime members?

I have had prime for 5 years, and only received refunds after items made it back to them.

I must be special then :)   Perhaps it's only on items that come from Amazon and not a 3rd party? Never took much notice, just know that as soon as the parcel is picked up by UPS, within a few hours I'll get an email from Amazon saying my refund has been processed (may still take a day or two to show in my credit card because of bank processing time). I think only once I can recall having to wait for it to arrive at the destination - that was probably a 3rd party item then. We buy a heap of stuff through there, maybe that's why.. I really don't know, you'd have to ask them, just telling it how it is for us.

It takes Amazon 3 to 5 days to process my refunds.

At least I am not the only one!  Maybe if we state that it was never opened, but if I have opened it and it failed, which hasn't been many things thankfully, they always inspect it and I get the refund notice the day it arrives back to them.

I Have Read this Thread Four Times now and still have not found a Single Point.
I have never had shipping issues from EVGA and the Delay is on UPS side NOT EVGA side for one and for two you are causing even more of a Delay by not accepting and singing for your package.
UPS will try 3 times so you will add three more WORK days to your Delay.
You order an item before a major holiday and you think that you are NOT going to have Delays.

That's how it is for me, too. You can't beat Amazon returns.

Now the package has gone to an old return address of EVGA's after I refused delivery and I contacted EVGA and they informed me that I have to wait for ups to complete a trace (upto 8 more days added to this shenanigans) before they will go any further. Um I think at this stage might be time to call my bank

Yes I'm one hundred percent responsible for the distribution and delivery. And return information kept on record at someone else's distribution service.

I didn't choose ups EVGA did. Nor did I feed miss information to the customer saying delivery was going to be delayed.

Check youselves. Holiday weekend with no chance to chat with my family overseas. I had no choice but to go buy it local I'd waited a week already.

The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery.
I would say that 5 to 7 days UPS Ground they did a good job getting you item to you.
If you needed the item before the end of the next week you should have paid for UPS 3 Day Select or even UPS 2nd Day Air and you would not have to have the delay of the trailer.
By the way the 3 ~ 5 days are WORK DAYS not Saturday or Sunday (Week End).
 
What was it that EVGA did wrong here, I do not see any wrong doing on anyone's part.

Please understand that we have never had a return address outside of California.  We have submitted a tracer with UPS to try and recover the package and we are working on this side to have your refund processed as soon as possible to assist.

I don't get it. If I order something after hours on a Friday night and I have it at my door the following Friday on a holiday week....I say that is pretty good service. At least you will be taken care of.

On the 1st July UPS informed me it would be delayed till after the holiday.
I went and bought 2 Asus cards on the 2nd of July only to get home and find that the EVGA was rescheduled for delivery. 
 
Anyways its how it is.  I have to wait for UPS to conclude the efforts now to recover the package and await EVGA to contact me...

"EVGA was rescheduled for delivery." You really mean UPS not EVGA, EVGA is not delivering your package UPS is.

I called them that's where it said it..  The automated system it would be rescheduled to the 6th july.  This is the latest information our representatives have.

EVGA for not being better prepared to deal with such issues.  I called on july 2nd to inform them of my intentions and was told it would not be a problem for a refund just that I have to wait 7-10 days once they got the unopened merchandise back.  Which seems extreme especially when at that point i never planned to ever see it.
 
UPS for obviously screwing up the return to the vendor and for the original issue of them informing me of an incorrect delay in delivery.

I just called my bank and asked to open a claim for lost item after i refused delivery. They just issues my bank account with a credit for the cost of the card. All I had to do with provide the tacking number and copy of the sales invoice and shipping confirmation.

How many vendors are prepared to have a delivery refused upon arrival?
 
You need to learn to be patient, you said that money is not an issue to you, yet you feel the need to relentlessly whine and complain when the issue that you caused is not resolved in a timely manner that is most convenient for you...  Do you have the patience of a toddler in the last hour of a road trip, "are we there yet?"

So you expect them to refund you the money on the video card that you bought from them before they even receive the card back?  Not sure any company will do that...

Amazon for one does, once its been shipped they process the refund.

I have had to return/exchange with Amazon and they have never given me the refund until they received the package to inspect.  I have Amazon Prime as well.

I believe EVGA and the customer are trying to work this out together. The best thing to do is try to be patient and allow a bit more time to pass. If after three more business days pass and things aren't working out notify Chris again and mention this thread URL to him: chrisb@evga.com
