Hi guys,

A few days ago i bought one 780 - reference model and after some benchmarks I tried to overclock it. Well, after a long night of work I determined the maximum GPU and memory stable frequencies (or so I thought; +152 gpu / +700 mem with a voltage increase +31mV). In all classic benchmarks the card was fully stable (3DMark 06, Vantage, 11, Advanced; Unigine Heaven, Valley, Furmark etc).

But, the problems occurred during games. After 5 mins of CoD Advanced Warfare my PC suddenly turned off. I spent another fully day to establish the clocks which are stable 24/7 for games (apparently games are way more demanding) and I obtained the following results: +108 gpu / +250 gpu + 15mV.

I'm not an overclocking freak, but my rez is kinda high (2560x1080) so an extra performance is welcome. The ASIC quality is 78% (don't know it's good or not for overclocking this model of gpu. I do not even know if it influences results).

The final results compared with the original ones are pretty low, so this thing disappoints me a little.
Do i have a chance to get better results than I already have?

Thanks in advance!

Your PC just shutting off is a classic sign that your PSU is the issue.

Remember, benchmarks rarely stress the entire system like a game will (GPU + CPU at the same time). If you have a friend with a powerful enough PSU, I'd ask to borrow and test with it.

Also, lower ASIC values are generally better for LN2 cooling (or so I've heard).

You're right about LN2 cooling. But ASIC values are relatively, so I have no idea if mine is low or high. Maybe is just average.

Never mind, my PSU is a Xigmatek 650W. Judging specifications, the PSU is enough for my pc (2500k @ 4.5 ghz w/ 1.26V + this gpu).

Your psu is enough for your setup but that doesn't mean your psu isn't faulty. Does your computer continue to reboot while gaming when all hardware (cpu, gpu, ram) is set to default clocks?

No, my computer is fully stable at +108 gpu / +250 mem.
