Hello and welcome to the forum. Most of the time a spontaneous reboot under load is a power issue. Could you give us some more details on your system? The model number and output of your power supply would be really helpful. Not knowing your location, it is hard to judge turn around time for an RMA but generally, it is two weeks or less. Most of the time is in shipping.

I've used the Cross ship option. You pay for the full retail of the new card. They send it to you. You send the bad card back. When they receive it you get the money refunded back to your account. The biggest downfall to EVGA RMA is you have to pay to ship it back. But it's better then having to fork out for a new card.

MyRig Intel i7-10700k, EVGA Z490 MoBo, 32GB Corsair Vengeance PRO DDR4 3200mhz ram, EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra, EVGA 850-G2 PSU, corsair 750d case.

Well...while the Corsair CX 750 should supply enough power, there are some reports of issues with that power supply. That doesn't mean it is defective, it just means that it could be your issue.  I have no idea of your level of skill regarding trouble shooting. Do you have any monitoring software on your system to be able to check the voltage of your PSU under load? If not, here's a handy free one:

This thread belongs in the 9XX forum so I'll move it there (since you have a 970 GPU)

I have found the invoice/Receipt and the RMA is now pending.
Phew that was a close one, i wished i had uploaded it the same time as i registered the Graphics card. Lesson learned.
