Did you ever get a work around on this issue? I got a prompt to update today and I'm having the exact same problem. EVGA Precision X 16 is running in the ground processes tab of task manager using 17% of my CPU and 25.7 MB of RAM but I cannot get it to open, at all. I removed it from my PC multiple  times and reinstalled. I tried reinstalling previous versions to see if that would work, but same issue. I don't get it. It's obviously not Windows 10 if you had the same issue last year. Let me know if you have a solution please, I realize this thread has been dead for awhile.

Please ALWAYS refer to the release thread (the very first post in this forum) for most up to date Information.

This is the 5th thread about the same issue, and would have been solved by checking the release thread.

This is the hot fix that EVGA already released about 2 hours after the release of 5.3.9. This has solved the problem for everyone so far.
