Hi all, I'm moving up from my current setup to a new evga Z-97 classified in a bit and am kind of uncertain what block I need for my 2-680's to seat them into slots 1 and 4 for 16x pipelines on the motherboard. Already have them watercooled with EK's plates and a short bridge. Is thiis the one I need to order? http://www.ekwb.com/shop/...dge-quad-parallel.html

Can you show me your current waterblock. By a picture of yours or a link of the product?

Hey Luc, I've seen some threads on here where people have eventually asked about water blocks for the Kingpin 980's. Can you tell us if EK has plans to do a block for the KPE 980's?

Still no news. All I know is that EVGA and EK is working on the block but I don't know if it will be an HydroCopper block made by EK but sold by EVGA as usual or an EK block sold by us or even both.

Ok, not surprised with how new the GPU is. Thanks so much for the info. Keep up the good work.

Sorry for the delay I was trying to make sure for you and a user here just installed his blocks on his 3988 Classy so you will be ok!

Like I told you yesterday on OCN, we still have no ETA on the KPE block. It's a team work between EVGA and EK so I don't have any info for now.

Hello! I'm having a problem with EK products (sort of). Here's the story. I bought the EK-Supremacy EVO CPU Water Block - Nickel/Plexi, EK-FC Titan X Waterblock - Nickel, EK-SBAY DDC 3.2 PWM (incl. pump), EK-FC Titan X Backplate - Black, Enzotech Compression Fitting G 1/4 Thread - for 3/8" ID and 5/8" OD Tubing - Matte Black, Alphacool 240mm Full Copper Monster Rad, and finally an Alphacool Full Copper 30mm Rad. I also reused Mayhems Pastel Ice White w/ Red dye that I bought new from the prior build I had. I cleaned out the radiators by using a 1/10 distilled vinegar/distilled water solution and shaked them vigorously for about 5 minutes each. I then emptied and added more solution for a total of two times. Then I filled them with distilled water to get rid of the acidic solution, shook them real good, then emptied. I am positive that they were clean after this process. Everything was put together and filled with Mayhems Pastel Ice White w/ Mayhems Red Dye on 5/28/15 and worked perfectly. The blocks were not discolored or anything. Yesterday I discovered that the coolant had turned a much darker color and was not the bright red it always was. I also noticed that the GPU waterblock has like a yellow tint and what appears to be yellowish deposits. The CPU waterblock, when I shine my flashlight on it, looks yellow as well. I really don't have anymore time to be fooling around with my PC. My questions is, is this normal or do I need to take it apart? Here are some pictures. https://imgur.com/hhOv7yW,ekWteoA,ilIheCb,sQVe07p#0https://imgur.com/hhOv7yW,ekWteoA,ilIheCb,sQVe07p#1https://imgur.com/hhOv7yW,ekWteoA,ilIheCb,sQVe07p#2https://imgur.com/hhOv7yW,ekWteoA,ilIheCb,sQVe07p#3

saifrehman23 Hello! I'm having a problem with EK products (sort of). Here's the story. I bought the EK-Supremacy EVO CPU Water ***trimmed to save space***
Did you read up on Mayhems to see what they suggest with cleaning? Also, is the yellow everywhere, or just where the coolant/Vinegar touched? From the pictures, it looks like the coolant is the problem. The plexi isn't 100% flat, so there will be a minor amount of seepage into the center portions where the plexi has direct contact with the nickel as seen below: How long have you used that particular coolant? Also, it may sound like I am a spokes person, but I always suggest sticking with the brand you are purchasing's coolant. I utilize EK Pastels right now, (No Experience with Mayhems) and I am pleased with the color and everything. Notice on yours, near the mounting screw by the terminal, that the plexi and nickel are both clear, just like the green block above. So, again, that makes me think your coolant has gone bad for some reason and that what you are seeing in the block is just seepage from tolerances.

The yellowing is in the center portion of the GPU block as you can see in the picture. Also, it seems like it is in the middle of the CPU block as well. The vinegar did not touch any of the blocks. I only used it in the radiators to clean them. I've used this coolant for about a month in this system and it was used in a prior build for roughly 6 months. I'm going to be purchasing Mayhems Blitz Pro Cleaning Kit as well as new coolant. I'll disassemble the waterblocks and brush them clean. I'm guessing the radiators were not clean enough and the coolant was contaminated. :( Learned the hard way.

The coolant problem comes from the Alphacool radiators. When you will have cleaned them with the Blitz kit you're buying, you should be good. Also, the pastel red is one of those coolant that will always be very sensible to Ph balance which is what makes the color shifting.

I am going to repeat myself, which I hate doing: Look at the same spots on this exact same block.. Notice they are green? Your Coolant is a disgusting Orangish Red.. the "Yellowing" is coolant. It seeps over into the areas that are sealed. This is NORMAL. The CPU block is no different, it is just LESS sealed. There are three free moving parts INSIDE the CPU block, which makes more gaps for more disgusting coolant (Only calling it disgusting, because it is really nasty). Your coolant is causing the discoloring. Do not reuse it when you clean the system. It isn't expensive to replace. I know this is going to seem like be being rude at this point, but more examples to clarify and FORCE this idea out there: CPU Blocks are the same way, what ever color is used, the block takes on the effect, Not to mention, the only things you can see inside the CPU block is plexi, so you aren't even seeing the nickel you are talking about ever.
